The next morning my chaotic sleep schedule got into play again because I woke up super early. Surprisingly, I was feeling pretty rested so I went out of my apartment to see if someone else isn't awake. I was immediately surprised by the ghost servant and was reminded that he's actually a boy. He was walking by me through the hallway. Without thinking I greeted him.
Lyra: "Good morning."
He didn't respond. I am not sure why, maybe because I had the expectation that he would be rude I followed up with.
Lyra: "Wow, not even gonna say hi to me..."
He stopped, briefly looked at me, bowed, and quickly walked off. I was shocked. That certainly wasn't something I would expect from a rude person. I myself was rude and he still showed respect to me. I wasn't sure why he didn't speak. I started feeling kinda bad for saying what I said. I started thinking about it more. I thought that maybe him being rude was just the fact that he's silent and doesn't respond to others and then the customers complain about it. I really wanted to talk to him to see what his point of view is. I couldn't find anyone else awake so I just went back to my apartment and passed the time reading. After breakfast, we went to check out the other trails, the one to the ruin and the one to the dead tree. It was cool but nothing beat getting to the highest point of the mountain. We arrived just in time for lunch. Me and Kazumi were slightly ahead and we entered the cabin first. In the heart of the cabin, we saw the ghost servant again. He quickly slipped past us. I raised my hand to say hi but he did nothing in response. He must have been sitting there but once he heard us he went to hide away. Again, I felt a little bad thinking that our presence restricted him. Kazumi had a wide-open look. I was only waiting for her to say something. I could see she regained her composure because she smiled.
Kazumi: "Aww I was really hoping he would be a ghost."
Lyra: "I mean, you don't know that."
Kazumi: "This is not how a ghost looks like."
Lyra: "Ehhh I dunno, he was kinda pale."
Kazumi: "I was too focused on the clothes."
Lyra: "Haha yeah, I am past that point."
Kazumi: "You think they would fit me?"
Lyra: "Really? eheh I think you look similar in size.. He's maybe a little smaller."
Kazumi: "So they would fit me!"
Lyra: "Perfect! Go ahead and ask him to lend something from his wardrobe."
Kazumi: "Uuu you think he has some other pieces like that?"
Lyra: "Haha like a cocktail dress for example?"
Kazumi: "Haha yeah.. Or like a sweater dress with some stylish overcoat. I think that would look good on him."
Lyra: "Tsk, that would look good on you."
Kazumi: "You are the one who said we look similar."
Lyra: "In size, duh."
Kazumi: "Thanks by the way. We should go shopping again."
Lyra: "On our way home maybe?"
Kazumi: "We'll discuss it with others later."
We talked about it in our group chat later and everyone agreed. The rest of the day we stayed around the cabin area. I found myself peeking around corners, just in case I wouldn't spot the ghost servant, almost all the time. Without planning we all kinda ended up going out at the same time so we decided to do a bit of off-trail exploring. Not too far. I realized that the ghost servant is probably up and around when we are away so I divided from the group sooner and rushed ahead to prove my theory. I noticed a slightly open door. When I entered, I saw a glimpse of the ghost servant entering the bedroom. That made me think he hid from me. I decided not to leave to see what he would do. After a few minutes, he got out of the bedroom with a dishtowel. He twitched a little when he noticed I was still there but then pretended like he didn't see me. I spoke to him.
