My hands shook and my stomach fluttered. It had been a few months since I've been in the wrestling ring, so I had the foggiest idea of what I was doing. All I knew was that I suppose to meet Aliyah in that ring in less than an hour and a half and my stomach still hasn't settled down. Deciding what to wear was quite easy since I hadn't bothered to bring much. After a long shower, which actually tended to calm my nerves, I chose to wear my hair long and straight in order to accent the creep neckline of my wrestling attire.

I glanced in the mirror at my flush cheeks and sternly reminded myself I'm no longer that young girl you saw in TNA in her first match. I was definitely old enough and change a lot throughout the years. You can do this, rang through my mind ten dozen times while I finished preparing for my match. I walked out of the women's locker room as I walked over to the make-up section for one of the girls to start on my make-up. I had about thirty minutes left before my match started with Aliyah.

"Hey Mila, hunter needs you in his office right now." I looked up and seen my bestfriend Amelia.

I felt a surge of panic run through me as I heard those words. Hunter only called wrestlers to his office for one reason- if you're getting fired or something gonna change with your match. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down, and followed Amelia to Hunter's office.

My heart plummeted as I entered the room and saw Cody seated across from Hunter with a satisfied smirk on his face. We hadn't spoken since he was exposed for our affair, and now we were in each other's presence again. Taking a deep breath, I nervously glanced at Cody before taking my seat. My heart raced with apprehension.

Memories of our secret rendezvous flooded my mind, the stolen kisses and whispered promises. It had been a passionate affair, but one that had ended abruptly and painfully. Seeing him now, sitting there with a calm expression on his face, brought back a mix of emotions - longing, regret, and a hint of excitement.

Hunter cleared his throat, breaking me out of my reverie.

"I called the two of you here today to catch up and make sure everything is okay. I understand it's been a difficult time lately, especially with all the online drama from angry fans and the affair, but Mila is part of our team now, so I wanted to check if you're both comfortable working together at the same brand. If not, we can arrange for one of you to move to the other brand." His voice was firm.

I let out a sigh of relief, realizing that my fears had been unfounded. It seemed like Hunter was genuinely concerned about our working relationship and wanted to make sure we were both comfortable with the arrangement. I glanced over at Cody, who was nodding his head in agreement.

"I'm fine with it," he said, his gaze meeting mine briefly before turning back to Hunter. "Whatever it takes to make this work."

I felt a sense of gratitude towards him, knowing that he could have easily made things difficult for me, given our history. But instead, he had chosen to be mature about the situation and put our personal issues aside for the sake of the brand.

"I'm glad to hear that," Hunter said, standing up from his desk. "Now, Mila, you have a match to get to. Good luck out there."

I nodded, standing up as well and  I couldn't help but steal glances at Cody. He looked different - more mature, more confident. But there was still that spark between us, that undeniable chemistry that had drawn us together in the first place.

After the meeting was over, I quickly made my way out of the office. I needed to clear my head and figure out what to do about my match. As I stepped outside, I saw him waiting for me.

"Hey," he said, a small smile on his lips. "Long time no see."

I didn't know what to say. Part of me wanted to run away, to avoid any further complications. But another part of me wanted to stay and see where this could lead.

"I...I didn't know you were back," I finally managed to say.

Cody shrugged. "Yeah, I just got back a few weeks ago. It's good to be back."

We stood there in silence for a moment, both of us unsure of what to say next. But then Cody took a step closer to me, his eyes locking onto mine.

"I know things ended badly between us," he said softly. "But I can't stop thinking about you. I miss you, mila."

"Cody, you need to stop. You already chose who you wanted to be with, so you should go before your wife finds out that you're talking to me."

Cody's expression turned serious as he stepped even closer, his hand reaching up to touch my cheek.

"Listen, Mila," he said, his voice low and urgent. "I made a mistake choosing her. I thought she was the one, but she's not. You're the one I want to be with."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Part of me wanted to believe him, to throw caution to the wind and give in to my feelings for him. But the other part of me knew better - knew that getting involved with him again would only lead to heartbreak.

"Cody, I don't know if that's a good idea," I said, stepping back from his touch. "We tried before, and it didn't work out. And how we went about it wasn't right. We can't just ignore that."

"But we can't ignore this either," Cody said, his eyes intense as he looked at me. "We have something special, Mila. Don't let it go to waste because of a mistake we made."

I felt my resolve slipping away as Cody continued to speak. His words were like a siren's call, tempting me to give in to the desire I had hidden for so long.

"Cody, I can't," I said, shaking my head. "I won't be the other woman. It's not fair to your wife, or to me."

"I know," Cody said, his voice softening. "And I don't want you to be. But please, just think about it, Mila. Think about what we could have together. I'll leave you alone if that's what you want, but just consider it."

Cody flashed me a glance then walked away, leaving me behind with my emotions in turmoil. He was right: what we had was special. But that wasn't enough. If he really felt that way, he would've chosen me instead of her.

As I made my way towards Amelia, my bestfriend, she looked surprised to see me chatting with Cody again. "What was that conversation about?" she questioned.

I sighed heavily and looked down at the ground, trying to gather my thoughts. "He was telling me that he still has feelings for me," I said slowly, hesitantly.

Amelia's eyes widened in shock. "What? You can't let him mess with your head like that."

"I know," I said, nodding. "I told him that it wasn't a good idea and that im not going to be the other woman again. But... part of me still wants to be with him."

Amelia put a hand on my shoulder. "I get it, Mila. I know you've had feelings for him for a long time. But you can't let him string you along like this. He made his choice he pick her so its time to move pass this especially after all this stuff yall both been through its not worth it." I nodded slowly, taking in her words.

She was right.
