Day Two

Dear Diary,

I woke up and decided to go to work. My car was gone, but it wasn't starting for me, maybe someone else got a better use of it than I did. Yesterday I couldn't find my diary, today I couldn't find my phone, and the clock stopped working so I don't know if I'm late for work. My phone's also gone so I can't call in, or ask someone to give me a ride.

I walk outside, and there are still no neighbors. I opened all the doors before I left and they are all just as empty as the first one I opened, even the one with a dog. I start walking down the street wondering what the fuck happened. I don't know, but walking is actually kinda nice. Though it is weird that all of the houses look empty.
It's as if the whole neighborhood moved out in the same night. Weird.

Walking is nice when you get to do it for fun. Walking 13 miles in six dollar shoes is not fun. It usually takes me about ten to twelve minutes to get to work in my car, unfortunately I didn't have that pleasure today. Nor did I have anything better to do than to walk to work. Even if I did have my car I couldn't find my wallet this morning either. So it's an interesting day all around.

I have no idea how long it took me to get to work, I'm not the type to wear a watch, but the lack of traffic helped. I work in superstore, so I thought I'd just get lunch there. It was empty. There were no cars in the lot. It was barren. The inside wasn't any better. No shelves, no people. Just silence. There wasn't even any water in the toilets.

I got home after dark. I hate being at work, people piss me off. Yet somehow, seeing that place devoid of life, was even more unbearable. I took notice of the lack of houses around me, and i shuddered as I gazed at the empty lot where my apartment should have been. I cried as I slept on asphalt.
