"The crown is my birthright. It's mine by blood." The prince said towering over princess y/n, their parents on each side of their son.

"Blood? I've bled for this kingdom for years.
Every scar I have, every hole in my heart comes from protecting this kingdom. So don't talk to me about blood!" Y/n stood her ground "what have you done for our people Yuuta?! Absolutely nothing!"

"Are you implying that you want the crown?" He narrowed his eyes towards his younger sister

"No, I don't want it. All I want- all I've ever wanted- is for my sacrifices to be worth it. So take the crown. It's yours. But a word of warning: if you fail this kingdom, I will slit your throat. And then, the blood debt will be paid." She said eyeing her brother back.

Everyone in the room gasped, how can a princess say such thing to her own brother?

"That's enough y/n!" The king's voice echoed all over the castle startling all the servants. "Your brother made his final decision, and since he'll take on the throne after me he has all power to do so." The king calmly spoke.

Y/n scoffed, "mother please do something about this! He can't just marry me off to some random prince that I don't even know." She glared at her brother, "I deserve to be with someone who I love!"

The Queen simply shook her head, "I'm sorry but this is your brother's call"

"He's just trying to send me away"  she whispered

"That's enough, you'll have a month before you finally leave.  You're dismissed." The king said sitting back onto his throne.

"Tch let's go Izuku"  I told my best friend since childhood also my butler

"Y-yes your highness!" He quickly bowed before following me to my room.

"I told you to just call me y/n Izu!" I told him as I sat down on my bed

"If I did that I'm sure your brother would take my head the next day" he said "oh also another gift arrived from your Prince Charming"

I groaned, "throw it in the trash with the rest of the gifts." I stood up opening the balcony doors, looking down at our back yard garden. I turned to the flowers next to me that Izuku helped me take care of- they were f/c tulips. "The flowers are beautiful, aren't they?" I asked caressing a petal.

"Yes. Including the garden down there is breathtaking" Izuku said as he made his way towards me.

"Do you believe in love?" I asked him making my way back inside

He followed me locking the balcony door, "I'm...not sure. Why?" A curious look plastered on his face

"I don't want to marry someone I don't love" I said turning away from him

He was silent for a bit before he started talking, "well, you don't know that yet. Maybe once you meet the guy and get to know him better you might change your mind." He smiled at me

"Well what if I told you I'm already in love with someone." I whispered. I turned to look at him as I saw his emerald green doe-eyes stare at me in shock

"Y-you met someone?" He asked

"Well- not really I guess" I said turning away from him once more but he grabbed my shoulders so I could face him
