Sorry it has been so long I had writers block on this one which I skewered with my amazingness. I needed to make sure this thing is long and I made room for a sequel if I want one. There is a few more chapters. I'm not done with this yet. I hope you don't hate me afterwards...have a nice evening/day depending on when you read this. Oh and Nicole's amazing ring is on the side (you'll hear about that soon)

Enjoy :)

Chapter 26 Nicole

“No, no, no!” Hannah said smacking my hands away from my hair for the fifth time. “Stop trying to touch it.” She was putting clips to hold half my hair behind my head, half up half down.

Natalie was applying smoky eye shadow to my eyelids. Lisa was working on my outfit. I was told to sit still and touch nothing. “Ouch! Hannah!”

“Sorry, sorry, I’m trying not to pull it,” said Hannah. She pulled back, a surprised look on her face. “Oh!” she squealed. “Come with me!” She grabbed my hand and pulled me out the door down the hall, where Chase stood at his door, in a tux with the tie undone. “Ugh, Chase you could at least tie the damn thing.”

“I will,” he nodded. “I just needed to make sure my love was wearing this.” He held out a small round ring. It had a red heart-shaped ruby sitting on top of it. Beside the ruby were two large diamonds. The rest was a silver ring.

“Oh! Is that Grandma Aggie’s ring?” Hannah asked, jumping up once.

“It was,” Chase nodded. “Now I want my mate, my beautiful mate, to have it. Nicole, will you be mine?”

I smiled and allowed him to slip the ring on my left ring finger. “Of course I will.” I felt my eyes fill with tears of joy.

“No! You can’t cry!” Natalie yelled, running up behind me. “You are not allowed to cry! It’ll ruin my art.”

I blinked away the tears quickly and kissed Chase’s cheek before being towed away by Hannah and Natalie. The rest of the time I couldn’t stop staring, in awe, at my ring. It was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen.

When I was dressed the girls made me look in the long floor-length mirror in Hannah’s room. I gasped when I saw myself. I was wearing a low swoop neckline red tank top; that was tucked into a black skirt that fell above my knees, red flats, and feather earrings. Half of my hair—my top layer—was sort of…wrapped around the back of my head. I looked beautiful.

“You guys did amazing,” I whispered.

“We didn’t do much; almost all of that beauty is you. The rest is what that outfit does to you,” Hannah smiled wrapping her arm around my shoulders. “We should get down there. I can hear them becoming restless. Chase keeps playing with his tie; he’s going to end up messing it up.”

I laughed and let her tow me to the back door downstairs. I could see them through the glass but I knew they couldn’t see me. It was like a mirror to them. I pulled in a deep shaky breath. I was about to join Chase’s family. I was about to be with Chase…for the rest of my life.  A feeling of nausea washed over me. I put a hand to my stomach and stumbled back.

“I don’t know if I can do this, Hannah,” I gasped. “What if I mess up?”

Hannah smiled down at me. “You won’t, Nicole. You can do this. Look out there! Look at Chase. Focus on Chase. No one else matters. You and Chase are the only two that matter today. You’re going to be fine. I know you can do this.”
