Chapter 6: Against The Divine 2

Lyra's POV

As I get getting farther and farther from the bottom of Eisenthral mountain, it's getting more and more colder, if I don't have this spell that could make me withstand this extreme cold, I could have died. Anyways, I have no idea what time is it now, nor what's day is it now, the icy haze are covering my vision.

"Am I getting close? I can't really tell. But I will not give up, I will go where you hide, Lyreia."

As I continued to climb up the mountain the holy energy are getting stronger and stronger, the extreme cold are almost gonna overwhelm my heat.

After a long time of climbing, I finally reached the topmost of the Eisenthral mountain as I look down, I was actually above the clouds. I explored the top of the mountain, until I saw a village.

"I never expect that there would be a village here. I need to gather information here."

I walk towards the entrance of the village, There was no guards in the entrance, hence why I enter the village with ease. In the sign the village was called, Sacris Village. As I further explore, I noticed one thing... All of the people in this village are blonde haired and only womens, which probably means that this village is an Angel's Village. As I thought of that, I approached one of the people.

"Hello, excuse me, what kind of village is this?"

The lady smiles then answers.

"Oh an adventurer? Adventurers who comes here are a rare sight! This village is a Angel's Village, a village for angels who has lost their Angelic traits! But we angels here stay faithful to her highness, Lyreia, thus we still have a little bit of Holy power. But to those to has lost their Angelic traits through betrayal are the fallen, and thrown to Fhell... Well aside that, welcome to Sacris Village! If you need something just ask me! My name is, Lina."

Since they're angels, I decided to fake my name.

"I'm Leia. Nice to meet you."

The angel smiles.

"Nice to meet you too! Well then, I'll be going now... Goodbye!"

The angels bid farewell. Then I continued to explore the village asking informations from other angels. Most of them aren't too useful except for one, so I just continue to stroll in the village, until I come across the other gate of the village. I exit the village through it to travel towards my real destination. After quite some time, I finally reached it. I finally reached the Gate of Hestium. But as the king said, there are two High Valkyrie guarding the gate, and there was indeed two of them. The two valkyrie noticed me and pointed their spear at me as warning.

"You... You are Lyra Lightkin, am I right?! There's no point in hiding! Show yourself!"

As expected they would most likely knew me and see me while I'm hiding behind a rock. I show myself, my demon form already manifested.

"Yes I am... Today, I will bring destruction to Hestium."

I summoned my sword, Nefryst from my hand, ready to fight. The two valkyries grins.

"Do you really think you would stand a chance against Hestium? We're not the only strong angel you know! There are a lot, a lot stronger than ours and then there's Goddess Lyreia. You should give up, while Goddess Lyreia is showing her mercy to you."

I gripped my sword.

"No matter how strong, the Hestium is, I will overcome it! I... Will never give up!"

I shouted with my eyes full of hatred against the Hestium. My whole body's temperature raises, that it melted the snow and ice around me. One of the valkyrie charges at me, attempting to pierce me with it's spear, but due to my intense hatred, my power is almost as strong as them, thus I perform a diagonal cross slash severing both the spear and the Valkyrie who was attacking me instantly, the valkyrie that got severed by me faded in light particles. The other High valkyrie was shocked and terrified, and was forced to escape entering the Gate of Hestium. I followed the valkyrie, hence I also entered the Gate of Hestium.

Finally I'm in Hestium, the atmosphere here is gentle and calming that it almost calm my hatred. The hestium is like the world, it has lands, but actually it's just more likely a skyland, a land that floats in the sky, it's peaceful here and it has many islands.

"So this is Hestium, huh... It's my first time here... And For some reason... I feel like someone is calling me.. It's a familiar voice... A beautiful voice... A voice that I've heard in my dreams when I was a child... A voice that have been in my mind all the time..."

My anger had beem soothed and now I'm completely calmed down when I heard the voice. I followed the voice where it guided me to go through.

"This voice... Are you the one that have been in my dreams..?"

The voice responded in a serene way.

"Yes... It's me... You're my chosen one... Lyra Lightkin."

As I followed the voice, I finally arrived at the location where the voice guided me to. It's a small pond...

"Now Lyra... Go into that pond, trust me."

Her words and the way she speaks is so gentle and serene making me trust her words, thus I followed and dip myself in the small pond and as I did... My entire body relaxed and felt a gentle warmth. I let myself be immersed in the delight of the pond, as a black colored wings emerged from my back and eventually a halo also appeared on my head but still dim, my body became completely lost in the gentle moment.

"What is.. This..."

Then voice replied in a gentle and serene voice.

"You've awaken your blessing, the blessing that I have gave you... It's a blessing that will make you a really powerful angel... But since you're also a demon, your wings are black instead of white... And now you're a part human, half angel and half demon, which makes you a unique hybrid! I'll let you discover your own power."

Still in the pond, I looked up at my still dim halo, and then in my wings.

"But who really are you..?"

The voice giggles slightly.

"I'm the Former goddess, Elysara. Yes, it's me! You're my chosen one, not because I randomly picked you, it's because I see something in you! When I died in the Hestium, I knew it was because of my little sister Lyreia. She's been obsessed with humans and been wanting the creatures of the world to serve her and treat her as a Goddess, thus she killed me with a forbidden spell that even gods like me cannot stop it, behind my back... And now I'm just a spirit within you!"

I was shocked at what she said that I don't know what should I say.

"Well... You're still not a 100% angel, you can sleep for awhile so you can be a fully pledged half angel! Only I know this pond!"

I nodded then slowly closed my eyes, Taking a serene nap.
