On a day like any other, the bustling world of EXO was buzzing with its usual chaos—packed schedules, wildly enthusiastic fans, and, of course, the infamous sasaengs, whose antics could make even the most seasoned celebrity's head spin. Despite the whirlwind, the boys persevered through it all, dreaming of the sweet taste of freedom that always seemed just out of reach.
As their plane soared through the sky, anticipation crackled in the air.
"Alright, team," Suho said, his voice steady as a rock. "Stay close to security, and let's play it smart. We've got to be careful out there."
Kai, looking a bit frazzled, peeked out the window and exclaimed, "Why do they always know our schedule? Look at that crowd waiting at the airport—my heart is racing!"
Kyungsoo chuckled softly, the calm in the storm. "Relax, Kai. It's going to be just fine. We're pros at this!"
But as the plane touched down and the doors opened, the roar of the fans hit them like a tidal wave. Screams of joy filled the air, some of which felt a tad terrifying, especially with fans brandishing cameras like it was a sport. Among them, one girl stood out—clad in a black hoodie and jeans, she watched from afar, an enigmatic figure in the chaos.
As they maneuvered through the throng, the boys felt the crush of the crowd. Hands reached out, desperate to connect, but as they pushed closer, the situation escalated. With a sudden shove, Kai stumbled, twisting awkwardly as he fell onto the escalator. Pain shot through him like a bolt of lightning, but the sea of sasaengs only focused on their obsession—snapshots and selfies, not even glancing at his distress.
"Manager, I can't get up!" Kai gasped, struggling against the surge. Baekhyun rushed to his side, but the cacophony of shouts rose around them.
"Move your head, you idiot! We need pictures!" a sasaeng screamed, her voice sharp enough to cut through the chaos. The other members froze, disbelief etched on their faces, their hearts aching as they watched Kai's plight. Tao, unable to hold back his emotions, whimpered, "Help us! We need help!"
In the midst of the chaos, Kai lost consciousness, and just when it seemed like despair would reign, a girl materialized as if summoned by the very winds themselves. She stood boldly between Kai and the relentless swarm, blocking their lenses with a fierce determination.
"Who dares to push Kai?!" she demanded, her voice cutting through the clamor like a hot knife through butter. All eyes turned, pointing towards a girl wielding a DSLR camera. The accused tried to escape, but the girl in the hoodie was quicker, snatching the camera and smashing it without a second thought. The crowd gasped collectively as the girl launched herself at the one who had hurt Kai, sending her crashing against the wall, wailing in pain.
In that moment, a strange hush fell over the throng. The other fans watched in stunned silence as the girl's eyes narrowed in determination. "Now, who else want to be like that girl?" she shouted, her fierce spirit igniting a spark of bravery in others.
"Put your hands on me! Only the members of EXO!" she insisted, her urgency palpable. The boys hesitated, glancing at one another, uncertainty dancing in their eyes.
"We need to get him to a hospital!" she pressed, urgency lacing her tone. "If you want to stay here with these sasaengs, that's your choice, but I'm not leaving Kai!"
With a shared sense of trust, the members of EXO finally placed their hands on her, and in an instant, they vanished from the madness like a puff of smoke, leaving behind a crowd of shocked fans.
The world spun, and suddenly they found themselves in a quiet room, a striking contrast to the chaos they'd just escaped.
"Where are we?" Suho breathed, glancing around, bewildered.
"You'll find out soon," the girl replied mysteriously, then, like a spark, she vanished, leaving the boys speechless.
After a few minutes that felt like an eternity, a flurry of nurses and doctors rushed in, their efficiency reassuring as they swiftly attended to Kai, leaving the others in a daze.
D.O. shook his head in wonder. "How did we even get here? This hospital is prestigious!"
"I don't know," Suho admitted, "but one thing's for sure: she can teleport!"
Tao's eyes sparkled with excitement. "That's incredible! She's like a superhero, showing up just when we needed her!"
Lay nodded, a hint of apprehension in his voice. "And that strength? A bit intimidating, if you ask me."
"But who is she?" Luhan pondered aloud. "And why did she come to our rescue?"
Sehun raised an eyebrow. "Can we really trust her?"
"I'm not sure," Chen replied, his brow furrowing. "But she did help us..."
Baekhyun chimed in, "But why did she help us?"
Chanyeol mused, "I think she knows us... somehow."
Xiumin frowned. "But seriously, who is she? And what does she want?"
Yixing added thoughtfully, "If she was in cahoots with the sasaengs, she could've easily hurt us. But she didn't seem like them at all..."
"What do you mean, not like them?" Junmyeon asked, puzzled.
Luhan gestured animatedly. "We've seen the videos—she can make herself invisible, and she has superhuman abilities!"
"Yeah, but that doesn't add up..." Yifan said, scratching his head, as they all exchanged glances, the mystery of their mysterious rescuer hanging in the air like an unsolved riddle.
"Guys," Tao broke the silence. "This may be a good opportunity for us to break into the sasaengs grasp. even for a short period of time only."
"Tao is right." Kyungsoo said. "Let's get to work. I've never been more grateful than now—"
Before Kyungsoo could finish, the door to the room burst open, revealing a man in white scrubs, a stethoscope around his neck. He surveyed the group, and upon seeing that there were no signs of injury, he cleared his throat and announced, " Miss Aeri is waiting for all of you. "
He then turned to the rest of the room and bowed politely before disappearing.
"It's about time," Sehun grumbled, standing abruptly. "Come on guys, lets go!"
They made their way quickly out of the room, following the directions given by the nurse, rushing toward where they assumed Aeri was waiting.
