Untitled Part 3

**Previously on Chapter 2...**

Aeri had become the unexpected savior of the renowned idol group, EXO. But there was Kai, standing there with his gaze fixed on her, as if he'd known her forever. What could possibly lie behind those intense stares?

In the hushed, sterile air of the hospital room, Aeri kept watch over Kai, her heart thumping with a mix of concern and protectiveness. She settled in beside him, the rhythmic sound of his breathing lulling her into a peaceful slumber. Little did she know that Kai had stirred awake, his gaze softening as he took in the sight of her peaceful form. He gently reached out, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear, when suddenly Aeri stirred.

"Oh! You're awake!" she exclaimed, her voice a melodious mix of surprise and relief. "Do you need anything? Wait, I'll call your leader!" She turned to leave, but Kai's hand shot out, clasping hers in a gentle grip that sent warmth surging through her.

"Hold on," he said, his voice low and earnest. "I remember you now. You're my friend... from three years ago, before I debuted. But then you just vanished without a word. And now, here you are, helping me. What's your reason?"

Aeri felt her stomach flutter. "I can explain everything, but not right now. We need to get you out of here! The sasaengs broke into the hospital! I have to call your members!"

Just then, a loud bang echoed from the door, the unmistakable sound of chaos. "They're here!" Aeri whispered urgently. "We have to leave, Kai!" The other EXO members left already because they will get some clothes for Kai, before sasaeng entered the hospital.

"Quick! Hug me!" Aeri urged, and Kai wrapped his arms around her just as the door crashed open. In a flash, they vanished, narrowly escaping the furious fans that flooded the room behind them.

"Phew! That was a close one!" Aeri exclaimed as they landed in a room that Kai couldn't quite recognize. "Welcome to my humble abode, right next to your dorm! I'll call your members now."

Kai's eyes sparkled with urgency. "That call can wait! We need to talk! There's so much I don't understand—especially about your powers."

Aeri hesitated, her expression clouded with concern. "I didn't tell you about my powers before because I was afraid you'd distance yourself from me. I didn't want to ruin our friendship."

"Friendship?" Kai echoed, his voice tinged with hurt. "But why did you just disappear? I waited for you every day at our favorite spot."

"I can't tell you right now," Aeri replied, her heart heavy with unspoken truths.

"Why not?" he pressed, his eyes searching hers.

Yuki suddenly pointed out the window, her face paling. "Look! Your members are being chased!"

They could see the frenzy outside—fans were hot on the heels of EXO, their shouts mingling with the chaos of the chase.

"I need to guide them here without the fans noticing," Aeri declared, determination shining in her eyes.

"How?" Kai asked.

"Stay here!" Aeri instructed, before she blinked out of sight, only to reappear moments later with the other EXO members in tow.

"Aeri! Where's Kai?" Suho cried out, panic etched across his features.

"He's at my house! We need to get all of you out of here quickly!" Aeri urged.

"How?" Tao questioned, eyes wide with confusion.

"Go between the walls of your dorm and the building next door!" Yuki instructed, her voice sharp with urgency.
