The sun hung high in the sky, casting a warm glow over Seoul High's courtyard.
Just as the pleasant interlude was reaching its peak, the shrill sound of the school bell cut through the air, silencing the laughter and signaling start of the lessons. Students exchanged disappointed glances, their playful banter replaced by resigned expressions.
Junhyeon groaned, mockingly dramatic. "Nooooo.."
Gyuvin's eyes gleamed mischievously. "Who's up for a little competition in class, then?"
Ricky rolled his eyes. "I think I'll pass."
Gunwook, Junhyeon, and Gunwook were in a hurry like they were late for a race. Their feet pounded against the floor as they dashed to their classrooms, their laughter echoing in the hallway. It was as if they were trying to break a speed record or something.
Ricky, though, just rolled his eyes at their antics.
As the students made their way to their respective classes, the courtyard gradually emptied, leaving behind a sense of anticipation that was almost palpable.
The school corridors buzzed with activity as students filed into classrooms, their chatter blending into a harmonious hum. Hao followed the stream of students to his classroom, Ricky veering off to his own class.
Stepping into the classroom, Hao found an empty seat and settled in, his attention drifting to the front of the room where the teacher was setting up.
However, his thoughts were soon interrupted as the classroom door swung open once again. A figure entered, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. It was Hanbin, his confident stride and warm smile making him the center of attention.
Hao's pulse quickened, a mixture of excitement and panic swirling within him. He couldn't believe his luck—of all the classrooms, Hanbin had walked into his.
Hanbin's eyes met Hao's as he scanned the room for an available seat. A friendly nod was exchanged, accompanied by a warm smile that held the promise of familiarity.
Swallowing his nerves, Hao managed a shy smile in return, feeling his cheeks warm.As the lesson began and the teacher launched into the material, Hao found it challenging to focus. His thoughts kept drifting to the realization that Hanbin was just a few seats away, participating in the same classroom discussions.
The lesson with Jiwoong flowed on. The attractive history teacher, known for his engaging teaching style, had captivated the attention of the students as he delved into the day's topic. Hao found himself drawn in, his curiosity piqued by Jiwoong's words.
Whispers floated around like fluttering leaves. "Jiwoong-sunbaenim, is like, really good-looking, don't you agree?"
Hao agreed silently, a small smile curving his lips. There was an air of charm and mystery about Jiwoong that was hard to ignore. Yet, his thoughts kept drifting back to Hanbin unconsciously.
Despite his best efforts, Hao found it difficult to concentrate on the lesson. Hanbin's warm smile and their brief encounters filled his mind. The classroom discussions faded into the background, replaced by a whirl of thoughts and emotions.
As Jiwoong wrapped up, a sudden noise erupted outside.
The sudden disruption caught everyone's attention, and heads turned toward the open doorway. A loud scream pierced the air, followed by a trio of familiar faces—Gunwook, Gyuvin, and Junhyeon—bursting into the room, their faces full of with ridiculous drawings that made the class erupt in laughter.Jiwoong raised an eyebrow, amusement in his voice. "Well, well, what do we have here?"
The trio exchanged looks, their faces the canvas for their artistic mishaps.
