Job stood outside the small pink painted house. He squinted his eyes and put his hand over them to keep the sun out his view. Job looked back at his red Jeep and sighed. "Sasha, will you come on?" Sasha looked around in pure disgust.

Sasha hated coming with her brother to work farms, or anything related to getting her hands dirty for that matter. Although she didn't enjoy the farms, she did enjoy watching the animals.

Sasha looked at her brother and the muddy ground below the car. "Are you sure I have to get out? I can watch from afar!" Sasha put on a smile in hopes that Job would let her stay in the car. Job gave her a blank stare before laughing. "So you can sneak off in my car? Yeah right, let's go." Sasha rolled her eyes and opened the car door before stepping down into the mud.

With every step towards Job, she shuttered in disgust at the sounds the mud made when she stepped in it. Once she reached Job, she looked up at him with puppy dog eyes and a pout. Job rolled his eyes and sighed, walking up to the front door and knocking on it. Sasha walked behind her brother and put her hand on her hip. "So, who's house are you working on today?"

Job looked down at her and laughed a bit. "You don't remember this house?" Sasha shook her head. Suddenly, the front door opened and a goat ran out. Sasha screamed and held onto her brother. A young male approached the door, holding a baby goat in his arms. Sasha peeked from behind her brother and sighed before rolling her eyes. Job looked back at Sasha and started laughing making Sasha hit his arm.

Sasha crossed her arms. "Hello, Jasper." Jasper smiled at Sasha. "Hey Sasha! I see you've met Timothy." Sasha glared at Jasper before looking down at the goat. Sasha slowly inched towards the goat but before she could move any closer, it began to scream. The goat ran making Sasha's eyes widen and she flinched from the sudden movement. Job and Jasper started laughing making Sasha huff. Sasha quickly walked onto the porch, smacking Jasper in the head. "That shit ain't funny!" Jasper continued to laugh with Job as Sasha hurried into the house, taking off her boots. She sat them in a big gray bin that had a note on it that read 'MUDDY BOOTS.'

Jasper walked into the house, putting down the baby goat. Job walked in behind him and put his boots in the gray bin.

Sasha looked around the old country house, taking in the familiar scent of jasmine and vanilla. "The house is still the same, just like your momma left it." Sasha said as she moved towards the living room.

Jasper is an old friend of Job's. Job met Jasper through his father's church and ever since then, the two have been tight like glue. Job would sneak out in high school with Jasper and host parties at Jasper's house. Job's parents didn't really like Jasper and felt he was a bad influence on Job. Despite their thoughts, Jasper kept Job out of trouble, or at least he tried to.

"Aye, how's your eye?" Jasper walked into the living room where Job sat, petting the baby goat. "It's cool man." Jasper thumped Sasha before sitting on the couch. Sasha smacked Jasper's hand making Job laugh. "Don't touch me nigga, you probably had that finger up an animal's ass."

Jasper turned and looked at Sasha. "And if I did, what was you gonna do?" Before Sasha could speak, she was cut off by a loud goat outside the window. Jasper opened the window and the goat stuck its head inside. "It's feeding time for Tabby!" Jasper went in the kitchen and grabbed some milk before handing it to Sasha. "How about you feed the goat? Since you talking shit." Sasha snatched the milk from Jasper and gently started to feed the goat. Job got off the couch and put down the baby goat before walking over to Jasper. "I brought the paint for the side of the house, might as well get to it before it gets dark." Jasper nodded.
