Civil War

Description:

Gabriel Agreste, aka Hawk Moth knew that Adrien Agreste, his own son, was Cat Noir.  He decides to use his son's grief for his mother against him.  And now, a war between two partners brews up, can Ladybug convince Cat Noir to not let Hawk Moth get away from justice?  And even if she does, what will happen to their bond.

Cat Noir coughed blood. Drops fell as he staggered to stay up. Hawk Moth laughed sinisterly.

"You're out of time." he said, "I've won, Cat Noir."

Unfortunately, the supervillain wasn't a lie of deception. Cat Noir's ring beeped, signalling that his time was in fact up. 

"It doesn't matter." he said, "Ladybug will stop you!"

And then, Adrien Agreste's face was revealed to Hawk Moth. Hawk Moth gasped lightly. It was always impossoble to believe, but it was his own sone that's been his enemy from the start.

"Adrien..." he said in shock, "...so it *is* you..."

Hawk Moth then detransformed into Gabriel Agreste. Adrien was shocked. His father had been causing this the whole time.

"Father?!" he shouted.

"Join me, Adrien." said Gabriel, holding out his hand, "We can work together."

"All this time...it was you?! How could you?!"

Adrien had never felt so angry and enraged in his life. His own father, it all made sense now. His coldness, his soulessness. It was finally clicking together.

"You think I wanted to do this?" asked Gabriel, "I'm doing this for your mother!"

"What...are you talking about?" asked Adrien, confused.

"With both yours and Ladybug's Miraculouses...I can bring her back, Adrien. We could be *happy* again. Don't you want that? Don't you want us to be happy again?"

Adrien's eyes teared up. His father's been doing all of this: Hurting people, forcing them to hurt *other* people. He pushed himself away from his father.

"Not...like this..." he answered slowly, "...not...by hurting other people!"

Gabriel quickly grabbed his son by the wrist.

"Then help me!" he begged, "Help me get Ladybug's Miraculous without hurting anyone...help me be better...for us...for her..."

Memories of Adrien's childhood came crashing down into his mind. Him picturing his two parents holding him as a baby, memories of Emily Agreste teaching him to play the piano. Whenever she'd kiss his forehead came back into memory.

"Mom..." Adrien's voice wobbled.

His hand shook.

"I'm sorry, Ladybug..." he sobbed to himself, "...I'm sorry..."

Cat Noir and Ladybug were locked in combat together. His staff trying to reach Ladybug while she used her yo-yo to resist him. Both had tears running out of their eyes.

"Ch-Chat...why?!" Ladybug cried out.

"I'm so sorry." was all Cat Noir could reply with.

Ladybug then attempted to kick Cat Noir in the stomach.  The cat-themed superhero however suddenly dodged it and pinned her down, stomach first.  Ladybug tried everything she could to prevent him from taking off her earrings.
