"You're a head above the rest when it comes to close combat, Yuji," Gojo explained as I closed the door behind me and allowed the two of them to step foot into my living room. "So, what you need to learn right now is how to control cursed energy as well as the bare minimum of jujutsu knowledge."

I trailed behind them as the young boy finally turned his attention to me, his eyes glowing with excitement.

"Yuji, meet Akahana Izaki," Gojo motioned toward me when I stopped at his side. "You'll be her guest for a while. So, you'll be staying here at her place when you're not training."

"Does that mean she's going to be the one training me?" he asked, not losing the sparkle in his eyes.

"No, I will..." Yuji's eyes grew wider as did his smile. "What's the matter?" Gojo asked, taking notice of his student's behavior.

"Oh, I figured you'd be the best person to train me, so I'm just happy," Yuji grinned. "I'm weak and I couldn't save anybody. Worse, I nearly killed Fushiguro. As I am now, I won't be able to face them. I want to become strong."

My lips curled into a small smirk as I crossed my arms and looked at the young boy. He reminded me of someone. And I could definitely see why Gojo took a liking to him.

"Teach me to be the strongest," Yuji's expression became more determined as he kept his eyes on his sensei.

"He's got a keen eye!" Gojo huffed with pride.

"Sensei, you're the one who called yourself the strongest," Yuji muttered.

"Not surprising," I muttered myself, feeling a sweat drop form as I made a face. A sudden wave of nostalgia crashed over me as I was reminded of the day, I first met Satoru Gojo.

"Akahana-chan," Gojo called out to me, snapping me back to reality. "Did you bring them?"

I shook my head in an attempt to clear my previous expression before nodding toward Gojo and reaching for my purse, instantly pulling out two canned sodas. Walking over to the nearest table, I placed them on the surface and stepped back while crossing my arms.

"All right, first, take a look at the two soda cans," Gojo motioned toward the table with both hands as he puckered his lips.

"Huh?" Yuji turned in time to notice the first green can instantly get knocked over with a slight dent before the second can twisted in place, the pressure causing the liquid to shoot out.

"Whoa," the young boy breathed out in amazement.

"The first was with cursed energy, and the second was with a cursed technique," Gojo explained.

"I see," Yuji nodded, placing a hand under his chin, seeming as if he understood. "I don't get it."

"Try again," I instructed Gojo, who turned to me in slight disbelief.

"Right," he cleared his throat. "Well... think of cursed energy as electricity and cursed technique as appliances. Electricity by itself is hard to use, right? That's why we run electricity through appliances, to achieve various results. With the first can, I just fired off pure cursed energy. Now with the second, I channeled cursed energy into a cursed technique to activate it and twist the can with jujutsu."

"In other words," Yuji raised a finger in excitement. "I'm about to learn a very, very good, cursed technique?!"

"No, you can't use cursed techniques," Gojo pointed out.

"Huh?!" Yuji froze.

"Setting aside simple shikigami and barriers, cursed techniques are fundamentally etched into your body from the day you're born," he explained as he brought a hand to his chest.
