I entered and stood in the middle of the room. I was surrounded by the members: Artorius Vigo, Tissaia de Vries, Stregobor, and Vilgefortz.
"Jade, we have approved that your abilities are coming along nicely." Artorius stated.
"I will do my best to uphold the Law of Magic." I replied, nodding my thanks.
"You are powerful, but we do not trust in your control."
I reacted with anger, "What?! How can you do this? It's outrageous, it's unfair... How can you trust in my teaching if failing parts is not a given?!"
"Jade. Out." Tissaia stated as I huffed and turned to the door; slamming it behind me.

Tissaia and I walked through one of the massive hallways on the way to the dining room. Tissaia could feel that I was furious with The Brotherhood's decision. "I knew it. They have always opposed me. Can't you see it?"
"I've told you time and time again to get rid of such foolishness. You're angry and you're lashing out."
"Then what kind of nonsense is this, say I'm making good progress but I'm still unstable? That's a contradiction." I growled as Tissaia stayed matching my pace.
"Calm down, Jade. You have been training for a few years. To be at this stage at your age... it's never happened before. Listen to me, Jade. The fact of the matter is you're too close to dark magic. Those who find it hard to control their emotions become dark mages, The Brotherhood doesn't want that to happen."
"I didn't ask to be like this." I groaned as we stopped by a window.
"But it's happened, Jade, and now you will find yourself in a delicate situation."
"You mean divided loyalties." I scoffed as she rested her hand on my shoulder.
"I warned you there was tension between The Brotherhood and the types of magic. I was very clear."
"And yet they practice dark magic and get away with it!" I cried as she nodded, "They're all hypocrites. Bar you."
"No, they're not, Jade. I worry when you speak like this. Those are not good thoughts. They're dangerous, dark thoughts."
"Tissaia, you of all people should have confidence in my abilities. I know where my loyalties lie."
"I certainly hope so."
"I sense there's more you're not saying." I muttered turning my head from the lady.
"Jade, the only reason The Brotherhood has approved your magic is because they trust me."
"And?"
"Jade, look, I am on your side. I didn't want to see you put in this situation."
"Just say what you have to say, Rectress." I growled, frustrated at the riddles.
"The Brotherhood wants to watch you in lessons. They want to know what I teach you and how strong you are."
"They want to control me!" I shouted as Tissaia gently slid her hand up and down my arm in an attempt to calm me down.
"They're not looking for control. Only to learn if you're a threat or not."
"Why didn't they say so?"
"They didn't want everyone to know."
"So who is going be watching?"
"Stregobor."
"Might as well die then. I'm already condemned if it's him who's watching me."
"He knows me, and I have faith he won't be harsh."
"Damn your faith! It will serve me nothing. You wouldn't want to be near me if you knew why I have such power!" I shouted, ripping her hand from my arm and glaring at her. "Stay away from me for a while."
