chapter song: if these sheets were states - all time low
9:30am
i had just picked up kate from her house, we had stopped at the chop shop to pick up some coffees and snacks for as we wait. i had brought my camera, kate brought blankets for us to sit on.
10:00am
we arrived to the venue. my stomach was filled with multiple butterflies. no way in hell was i prepared to see shawn perform. i parked. kate grabbed the blanket while i was adjusting my camera. we then started to head over to the entrance of the venue. my jaw dropped in shock. we were the first ones there, well besides the mother and her daughter who were actually the first ones there. it was so empty and vast. i can't believe we got here at such a perfect time.
kate layed out the blanket, putting the snacks on top. she sat down and start checking any update for shawn on twitter. i stood there for a moment of silence trying to process the fact that i was going to see shawn, i couldn't believe it. i sat down and changed the battery of my camera just to gaurantee it would be working perfectly for the concert.
12:00pm
more people were here now. i would say about 200 girls so far, the line was around the block. and of course we had the vip next to us in a seperate line. me and kate spent the time mostly talking and watching netflix on her phone. i was so invested into the show until i heard someone calling me.
"hey you girl in the romper" a girl i would say probably 16, same age as me, was calling me from the vip line. she was gorgeous, long brown hair with light brown eyes.
i stood up and walked over to her, she was smiling.
"hi, i just wanted to say that you're absolutely stunning and yeah" she said with a large smile.
i laughed because personally i thought i looked like a piece of burnt fried chicken.
"aw thank you! you too wow!" i replied giving her a friendly hug.
she said you're welcome and i smiled going back to sit down. i love shawn fans. they are always so kind and have such big hearts.
2:00pm
vip were being let in to do soundcheck and meet greet. the line was so long for general admission behind us. oh how i wish i was in that vip line. as vip was inside we were still in line. john, shawns secuirty gaurd, was by us watching the line.
"JOHN" kate yelled, god i was scared for what was gonna come out of her mouth.
john walked over and nodded, he smiled at us.
"how long will this wait be?" she asked.
"about an hour, doors will open at 3" he replied.
it was weird because he kept looking at me in the eyes while kate was talking to him, but i just ignored it because i was pretty shy.
3:00pm
soundcheck and meet&greet ended. the doors eased open.
