Happy enough

CHAPTER 11

Chaeyoung's POV 

I went inside her office, it looks sophisticated and neat just like her. I saw her took off her coat while looking at me so I turn my back from her. I heard her chuckles and I face her again. 

"Now, show me the document Jennie. There's no need to prolong our conversation." I said sternly and I saw her sat on her chair then motion me to sit. 

She open her cabinet and took a document. She put it on her table then showed me. I took it and looked carefully. I read the document, it said "the other party (Park Chaeyoung) will still remained married to the other party (Kim Jennie) while the company is in bankruptcy. However, as soon as Kim's Corporation rise from their downfall, (bankruptcy/ financial instability) the legitimacy of their marriage will be void and nulled." Then, I saw my signature on it and Uncle Jaehyun too. How come I did not read this page? I remember that I've read everything he showed me. When did I agreed on this? 

"I did not know a deal like this. I never signed a document like this Jennie. I knew to myself I will never sign a contract like this especially as I want to get away from you." I said coldly and all she showed me was her smile. Her gummy smile. It didn't work on me, her smile. All I felt was anger, I'm mad to Uncle Jaehyun, he lied to me and make me a fool. 

"Well, that document is legitimate my hubby. How about we create a new contract? I will immediately call my lawyer." She said and I stood up. I looked down at her and showed her my seriousness. 

"I won't be creating any contract or deal with Kims anymore. Uncle Jaehyun is a fraud and so do you Jennie. I will work here but I will find a way to not be hold by your grasp  again. I won't suffer again because of you Jennie. I'm Park Roseanne and I will get away from this. I will call my lawyer too and let's settle this down." I then turn my back ok her and walked but then I heard her stern voice. 

"You are working for me Park. I don't know about your deal with my stupid Dad but this document that I had is not fake and as long as this company is bankrupt, you are married to me." I decided to ignore her and walked but before I open her door, I heard her say my wife's name. I immediately stopped and looked at her. I went back to where she was. I glared at her and I made sure I will send shiver on her spine. 

"Don't you ever lay your hands on Suzy. If something happen to her  and its because of you, God is forgiving but I'm not God, I won't ever forgive you and I will forget everything about you. Mark my words." I said coldly and looked directly in her eyes. I composed myself and stood straight. "I should go now Miss Kim. I have a lot of things to do for this company to rise again and deal with your problem." I said and walked out her office. I went to the elevator and I press the floor where my office is located. I went inside my office and I don't think I will last here but I don't have any choice so I accept this office. I sat on the chair and immediately went to the documents I have to analyze. 

I've been reading all their finance account ever since we got arranged, I massage my temple as this papers are making me blind. I have to know why did Kim's Corp is in bankruptcy, what happen to their stock market and funds? I continued to read not until I saw an unfamiliar document. I took it and saw that it's a contract. What's with the Kim? Why they always have a kink on contracts? Anyways, I read Uncle Jaehyun's name and Jennie's Grandfather. I read that it is not just a contract but the Last will and testament. The contract contains all the property of Kim's and it was divided equally to the Kim's but on the Will, it seems that Jennie is the sole heiress of all the Kim's property. Her Grandfather chose her to handle it all. How could this affect on the bankruptcy? Well, Uncle Jaehyun was a gambling addict and because he had the power over Kim's Corp, he used it all to gamble. How come I never get to know this? Dad must've knew about this. I will ask him later. Is this why he is also eager in the arranged marriage between me and jennie? This are all in the past and what I have to do is help them so I can get away on their fraudulent behaviors. 

If I found a way to make this company bloom again then I can get away on this stupid arrange marriage. I have to know first who are the people I can be trusted, who are among them can help me in this situation. Jennie is already excluded on that trusted list because for million of reasons I won't be trusting her ever again. I look at the document of person involved on this company and I have to investigate their background as well. 

I kept reading all the documents while creating some notes too, I felt like it became suddenly hot and I'm sweating.  Then I looked at the air condition. It wasn't working so I immediately went outside and asked someone. "Excuse me, I'm Park Roseanne and I saw my air condition isn't working at my office, is there anyone who can fix it?" I asked while I grabbed my handkerchief inside my suit. 

"That office air condition isn't really working Miss Park, no one uses that office anymore. Miss Kim didn't told you? Your office is beside Miss Kim's office. She said that on our meeting last week." She said and I was pissed off. I was about to go in Jennie's office and be mad at her but instead I calm myself and I asked the woman to show me my office. I went back to my abandoned office and took the documents with me. After that we arrive at the top floor, she showed me the way to my office and it was not covered with anything but glass. What is this? I'm going to work without privacy? Jennie is really stressing me out, I will just asked someone to put blinds on my office. 

I went inside and the woman left me after I thanked her. I felt my sweat because of that shitty office, I took off my suit and hang it. I walk towards the chair and pulled it in front of the air condition. I sat down tirelessly and leaned my head. It felt so cool, it's my first day and I was so tired because of all stress. I suddenly realize I took of my suit and Suzy reminds me not to take it off. I immediately stood up and grab my suit, I wore it and pulled my chair back to the office table. I hope nobody saw me because if they did I'll be dead later. 

I continued to read and my eyes are sore so I took my bag and I get my glasses. I wore them and focus on the documents again. I am reading when I heard the telephone on the office rings. I answered it without taking my eyes off on the paper. "Hello, This is Park Roseanne. Anything I can do for you?" I asked while writing some notes. "You are distracting me hubby, please take off your glasses." I heard Jennie's voice and I remembered our office are close to each other so I look at my right side and I saw her looking back at me. I was about to hang up when she said something. "Why did you wear your suit again? You look so hot without it. I captured it for a souvenir." She said and I felt shiver as Suzy will be mad about it. 

"Stop playing Miss Kim, can't you see I'm working to get away from this mess your family caused me." I said coldly and I look to her. "If you will call unnecessarily then I will end this Miss Kim. You and I are only work colleagues nothing more and I don't want to do anything with you ever again." I said but I didn't hear anything but I heard her moan. 

"God you're so sexy with that voice hubby. I'm so fucking w-" before she continued I hanged up on her. I decided to ignore her as she tried to call me again. Then, I heard my phone rings I hope this is Suzy. I'm so tired and I want to hear her voice. I saw it was unknown number and if this is Jennie I swear to God! I answered and I look in her office but she isn't holding her phone. 

"Hello? Who's this?" I asked and I heard a woman laugh and shiver was sent on my back. I knew this laugh, I will never forget her laugh. She's laughing madly again. She's the reason why me and Jennie got kidnapped. I dropped the call and I suddenly felt dizzy and I can't breathe properly. I loose my tie but I still feel suffocated. I walked but I felt like my knees got weak. I have to breathe outside. I walked towards my door and I tried my best to walked at the elevator but before I did, I collapsed and all I hear was Jennie's voice screaming.
