Happy enough

CHAPTER 13

Suzy's POV

Jennie really finds a way to take Chaeyoung from me. She might've made Chaeyoung believe but I know it's one of her lie again. If everything she said is true then how come she also admit that she got kidnapped too. The truth is I was the one that got kidnapped with Chaeyoung. She's 8 and I was 12. We are just playing at the theme park when we suddenly heard gunshots and we don't know where are our guards.

Then suddenly we saw a woman with wicked smile and we run. She got Chaeyoung and so I help her get away from her but the woman is stronger than me. She put a cloth in my nose and I felt sleepy while I heard Chaeyoung cries my name. I woke up when I heard a broken glass. I saw Chaeyoung tied up and I look at the woman, she's trying to feed her but Chaeyoung doesn't want and kept crying. 

"Ahjumma Please I want to go home. Mom and Dad will give you everything I promise. " she begged while crying. I decided to sat up but I am tied up too. 

"Chaeyoung don't talk to that woman! Ahjumma don't ever hurt her or I will sue you!" I said fiercely. She walked towards me and grabbed my chin. She looked directly in my eyes and I felt scared when she laugh. 

"Even in your generation Bae's are still meddler. You can just run away kid but until now you still protect the Parks." She said and gripped hard on my face. "Did you know because of you and that kid, my family is suffering? Because of your family, my Mom died. She felt so betrayed because of Mason Park and Bae Jeoji. My father entrusted everything he had to Mason and my Mom was devastated because she's his wife but he never trusted her." She said and I don't know what she's talking about. 

"I don't know who you are! Released us now and we promise to not tell the police about this." I said confidently but she just laughed again. I saw Chaeyoung covers her ears and the woman let go of me. 

"Do you think I believe on a kid like you? I want to see how will your parents  beg me to give you back. You see, I am a great friend of your Dads. We are close before but it all changed when Mason took everything from me. He took everything and didn't left a single penny for me and My Mom." She said and I don't believe at her because Uncle Mason isn't like that person. Before i could answer Chaeyoung shouts at her. 

"Dad will never do that! He care for everyone! He would never do that to you!" She protested and the woman laughed so wickedly which makes Chaeyoung silent. 

"Your Daddy Mason is a leech, he suck on my father's wealth and when he gets evertyhing, he left him with sickness. That's the truth kid. And now that you're here, Mason's one and only spring off, I will do everything to see him in pain. I want him to feel what it's like to loose someone you love." She said and grabbed a knife. Before she stabbed Chaeyoung we heard gunshots again. The woman got alarmed and went to look at the window. "Fucking shits! They only have one job!" She said madly and went out. I look at Chaeyoung and she's still crying so hard. She's screaming that Uncle Mason isn't like how the woman told us about. 

"Chaeyoung! Look at me! Look at me Chaeyoungie! It's me your Suzy-unnie! Don't think anything else but me okay? Just look at me Chipmunk!" I said and she looked at me but her tears are still falling. I heard the door got opened and I saw my Dad. He went towards me and hugged me. 

"Gladly we are right on time Suzy. Let me untie you." He said and untied me but I saw Chaeyoung passed out. 

"Dad! Chaeyoung passed out! Let's help her!" I felt my eyes are crying when I saw Chaeyoung's body on the floor. Dad carried Chaeyoung and I grabbed Dad's shirt. "She's fine am I right Daddy? Please tell me she's fine! I can't loose her Dad, please do everything for her!" I said and he checked Chaeyoung's pulse. 

"She's still breathing Suzy but we need to get her in a hospital. She's traumatized. We must go now. The police will take care of everything about Lee Namra. She will be put in jail. I promise you and Mason is with me but he was shot at his arm." He said and we both went outside and I saw Uncle Mason tried to get away from the medics and persisting to get inside. When he saw Chaeyoung on my Dad's arm he run towards us. 

"What happen Jeoji? Is she okay? Let me hold her Jeoji! Let's go to the hospital!" Uncle Mason took Chaeyoung on my Dad's arm and carried her even though he was shot. His blood is dripping but he don't mind about it as long as Chaeyoung is in his arms. I saw Uncle Mason cried so hard and I will never forget what he said to me and my Dad. 

"Namra is Chaeyoung's aunt. We are siblings and Namra can't admit to herself that I am his brother. My Mom was the other woman. We never asked for help from him because my Mom knew that he also have a family but he persisted on taking responsibility of me. I accepted it as I long for him but I didn't realize that I was hurting Namra. I never expected that Appa will give me everything. I tried to revoke his testament but to no avail it can't be changed. I decided not to take his properties and businesses, and I started my own. I never got hold of everything he gave me. I asked someone to give it for Namra and her Mom but I found out she died and Namra thought I take everything from her.  I don't want to hurt her but she hurt my Roseanne and I will never forgive her. I will protect Roseanne and Claire with everything I have and I won't let them get hurt again." He said and hugged Chaeyoung. 

"I will protect her too Uncle Mason. I love Chaeyoung and I promise to protect her as well." I said and he nods at me. He put his hand on my head.

"We know Suzy. Ever since we saw how you look at her when she was born, we knew you will love her. I don't want you to be obligated about it but don't ever get tired on her. Thank you for saving my daughter Suzy, I'm grateful you can always be there for her. Jeoji, I deeply apologize from what happened today. I also risk your daughter's life because of my past. I promise this won't happen again." He said and Dad pat his shoulder. 

"Don't worry Mason, what's important now is they are both safe. That's all I want." My Dad said and we arrive at the hospital. They checked up on me and Chaeyoung. Uncle Mason got treated and Aunt Claire is beside Chaeyoung. We are in the same room and I was checked by the Doctor. 

We heard Chaeyoung groan and she open her eyes. When she saw Aunt Claire, she immediately cried and hugged her. She cried so hard and Uncle Uncle Mason came in. They all hug each other. They pulled away when Chaeyoung immediately look for someone. 

"I am so scared Mom and Dad! Jennie-unnie is also scared but she doesn't show it to me. She protected me Dad, where is she? Is she okay? Does she get hurt?" She continuedly asked and it stabbed my heart when she remembered someone and not me. 

"What are you talking about? Jennie isn't with you sweetie, Suzy is with you, she's the one who protected you." Uncle Mason said and Chaeyoung didn't hesitate to answer back. 

"No Dad! I saw Jennie-unnie. She was tied too and she made me look at her and no one else! I remember it's her." She said with finality and they look at the Doctor. The Doctor asked her questions and it's all true but one thing is missing. I am missing, she always say Jennie's name. The Doctor concluded that Chaeyoung got trauma and the first person she taught became the person she only remembered. I got so broken by it but I never showed it to anyone on that room. I remember how Uncle Mason beg for me to not mention anything about this to Chaeyoung. He told me that it might cause her trauma again. So I shut myself and never talked about it. Then after that, she began to pour her love for Jennie. And I began to die inside because I love Chaeyoung so much. 

It's all in the past and I am now with Chaeyoung. I don't know why Jennie claims she's been kidnapped too but I know what's the truth and I won't let her lie breaks me and Chaeyoung. I will show her that Chaeyoung belongs to no one else but me.
