Sal could not see. Everything was black. She could hear police sirens, woman and little children crying, screaming and yelling.
"How could you let this happen?" she heard a man shout angrily .
"Look Mama 2 girls are stuck under that car!" little boy yelped.
2 hours later:
Everything is still black. Black as coal. It was as if someone had stained Sal's eyes with a permanent ink that would wash out. She was frozen. Frozen to the spot. Arms stuck. She felt like she was glued together like a doll and she could only be moved by another person. This was torture. Sal had no idea what was happening to her. Was this death?
She could hear the long sobbing of her mum.
"Darling please wake up soon.." her mum says. She can hear the door slam clean shut.
10 years later:
This was Sal's life. For the long next 10 years. Sal was frozen and couldn't move for a 10 long years. She couldn't speak for 10 long years. She couldn't even see for 10 long years. All she could think of was the screaming and the cracks.
What happened that day? All she could remember was the screams of Chris. What happened to Chris? She thoght omnously.
5 years later:
"Sal please... It's been 15 years you have to wake up please" it's mum's voice again she thought...
Sal realised. This is how long she'd been like this. 15 years. Sal tried with all her might to move. Move so hard. She felt like she was a marathon runner running the entire marathon 700 times but only to move her hand to signal she could hear her but she couldn't see, speak or move.
That's when a miracle happened. For the first time in 15 years she moved about 3 cm.
"Oh my god! Oh my lord-" Sal's mum filled with joy. She called for a doctor. But she never came back.
1 year later:
Sal had been fighting long and hard to try move, feel or speak but she could only think. Only think. A little voice in the back of her head was the only source of information. And of course her hearing.
5 months later:
Sal gasped. Her eyes had been cleaned of all the blackness.
She let out a spine chilling scream, " CHRISSSS" she fell back onto a hard uncomfortable bed.
"She had a strange gas mask on and a few other monitoring machines.
She pushed pass them.
She walked out of the room.
It was a hospital.
"Hospital eh?" she shrugged walking down the corridor. She saw a nurse.
The nurse stopped in her tracks...
"Sally?" she dropped her clipboard. It flunked like a large pin dropping.
"Darling your awake.." she said
"Yeah I know" smiled Sal.
"But honey you've been in a coma for 16 years.."
