I, Kitty Jones, was walking to Pops, I was in desperate need of a burger and a chocolate milkshake. I was almost there when a group of four men approached me. I recognized the jackets they were wearing, they were in my father's gang, the southside serpents.

"Hey what's up pretty lady," one of them said, getting closer to my face. Someone needs a fucking breath mint. I thought.

"Please," I pleaded, trying to keep my voice steady, "leave me alone."

"Not gonna happen sweet cheeks." One of the men said.

"You're coming with us." The first man said.

"I believe the lady asked you to leave her alone." A new voice spoke. My head snapped toward the direction the voice came from, standing a few feet away was an extremely handsome man, he looked to be about seventeen. He was wearing a black leather jacket with spikes all over it.

"And what are you gonna do about it?" The first man said.

"You really wanna find out, reptile." The man spat out. When I looked down at his outfit I realized he was a ghoulie, the serpents rival gang. The spikes on his jacket gave it away.

"Ghoulies." One of the men gasped, making them all take off running.

The man turned to look at me, "You alright, Angel?" he asked.

"I'm okay, thank you." I breathed out.

He smirked, "That's good. How about I buy you some food from Pops."

I nod slowly, before whispering, "Okay."

"Great, I'm Malachai." He smiles, a genuine smile.

"I'm Kitty."
———
It's been about a year since I met Malachai, it's been about eight months since Malachai and I began dating, and about six months since I found out I was pregnant with Malachai's baby. The only people who know are Malachai, my brother Jughead, and my best friend Sebastian. Malachai reacted surprisingly well. Right now, I'm preparing myself to tell my dad.
I take a deep breath before exiting the bathroom.

"Dad." I called out as I walked into the living room. He was laying on the couch watching football, with a beer in his hand. After Mom left with Jellybean he's been drinking heavily. My father was never the same after that day. Neither was our relationship.

"Yeah," he spoke gruffly.

"I have to tell you something," I spoke softly as I lowered myself onto the chair across from the couch.

"Then speak." He rolled his eyes at me.

"I-I-I'm pregnant," I smile nervously at him.

"You're what?" My dad sits up.

"I'm-" I begin speaking before he cuts me off.

"I heard what you said Katherine." He takes a deep breath before asking, "Who's the father?"

"Before you say anything, you have to understand that we love each other."

"Just spit it out Katherine."

Here goes nothing. I think to myself.

"Um okay, it's Malachai Rodriguez."

"THE GHOULIE?!" Dad shouts, standing up from the couch.

Here we go.

"Yes, the Ghoulie.

"Katherine Grace Jones you are no longer seeing that boy."

I stand up from the chair, "You can't do that. He is the love of my life, my baby's father, I will never stop seeing him or loving him."

"Then I want you to pack a bag and leave."

"Fine."

I run to the room I share with my younger brother, Jughead. I find him sitting in my bed wrapped in my blanket, tears coating his eyes. He doesn't let a single tear out.

"Oh, Juggie," I sigh, speeding over to him I sit myself on my bed.

"A-are you really leaving sissy? You can't leave me." He's angry with me. "You can't leave me alone with him. Not when he's drinking."

"I can't stay here, dad doesn't want me anymore. I don't wanna live with someone who doesn't want me. I'm moving in with my baby's father."

"Will you visit me, sissy?"

"Of course I will, little Bug, you're my partner in crime, my best friend in the whole wide world. I could never leave you." I smile.

Jughead smiles and nods before jumping into my arms making me fall back onto my bed.
———
I lay back against Malachai's chest, looking down at the baby girl in my arms. I look up at Malachai, watching as his eyes water.

"I'm a father." He whispers.

"Hell yeah you are." I smirk up at him.

"Our little Meadow." He whispers, Meadow's tiny hand wrapped around his finger.

The door bursts open, my best friend, Sebastian, although he prefers to go by Bash, races in, "Okay it's Uncle Sebi's turn now. Lemme see my goddaughter." He says excitedly, carefully taking Meadow out of my arms.

"Seriously, Bash? I'm tryna spend time with my girls right now." Malachai groaned while throwing his head back.

"Oh please, I am one of the girls." Bash rolled his eyes. He flips imaginary hair over his shoulder.

I smile watching them bicker back and forth playfully.

This. I think. This is my family.
