Sleep Walking

Andrew's POV

We walk up to Bliss' house. The music gets louder as we walk up to the door.

Rose and I walk inside and gaze at the crowd around us. Rose grabs my arm and leads me though the insane amounts of people. In front of me is a table adorned with different snacks.

Rose opens up the cooler and points a beer at me.

"I don't drink." I say as I push the bottle towards her.

"Great, more for me." She opens the beer and starts to down the stuff like it's water.

"Baby want a soda?" She says handing me a Dr. Pepper.

"I would like a pop." I say.

"Shut up." Bliss slugs me in the arm.

"Come on, let's dance." Rose says as she begins dancing around me.

Ryan's POV

"There is a disturbance out around Hamilton Farms." The radio blares.

"On it. Be there in five." I say.

I'm driving along, cautious of deer. Suddenly a loud screech from the radio fills my ears.

I pick up the radio. "Dispatch? Dispatch?" All I got back was static. As I get closer I hear a few voices but can't make out what they are saying. I see a figure out in the road ahead, so I stop the car and get out. The headlights shine out around the figure. Yet, the figure is still a deep black. Like a shadow.

"Sir, are you okay?" I ask. The man just walks towards me without a sound. "Sir, are you okay?" I ask once more as I step back a few feet. The man just inches closer towards me. The man stops and tilts his head up. His eyes. Piercing white eyes, staring me down. As he continues walking towards me I give him the order to stop. Which he ignores and carries on. Shakily I pull my gun from its holster and point it at this thing.

"Sir, I've told you to stop. If I must I will use force." I say sternly. It just begins to laugh. I shoot at its leg. The bullets go through leaving a burst of black smoke around its leg. The smoke bonds back together and the leg is like new.

 What?!

I walk backwards and as I shoot at it, the creature just flinches and continues on. Suddenly the air is gone. I can no longer breathe. The shadow's hand is right through my stomach. Even as I slip into oblivion, his eyes shine through the darkness.

ANDREW'S POV

    The party has died down a tad bit, but people are still raving on. Rose is completely shitfaced, so I have decided the adult thing to do is to take her home. I need to find Bliss to see if she can help me get Rose in the car. I look over at Rose who is just mumbling and stumbling all about. I take her hand in mine and lead her up the stairs.

    "No, stop ittt. I don't want to leeaaveee." Rose squeals.

    "I know, but you are too drunk to stay." I say as I bop her nose.

    We have been searching for quite a while until I open the bathroom door.

What the fuck?

    Bliss is passed out over the toilet and Mike is...in the bathtub?

    "Hey, Mike." I say casually.

    "Hey dude, wanna join me?" Mike giggles.

    "Yes!" Rose screams.

    "Noo." I say, grabbing her arm.

Oookayyyy?

    As I close the door I hear Mike yell, "BLUB, BLUB!" at the top of his lungs, followed by splashing and an "Oh shit."
   
    I take Rose outside and after ten minutes of trying to force her in the passenger side she finally gives up. We begin to drive out onto the road and I notice sirens barreling down the road just a little ways ahead, so I pull out onto a dirt road and decide to go the long way home.

    I look out the window and pass a completely black figure with white eyes. I shake my head and turn the radio on, and I just hear static. A sleeping Rose shifts in her seat so I quickly turn it off.

    I see a police cruiser parked in the road ahead of me so I bring my car to a halt and step out. The atmosphere has suddenly changed, and not for the better. Blood. There is blood everywhere and the cruisers head lights are still on showing me what has happened to the police officer. His legs lay on one side of the dirt road...and a trail of blood and intestines leads me to the man's torso. But..I can't seem to find his head.

    "Ohmigod!" Rose sobs out, I turn around to see her staggering towards me with her finger pointed upwards.

    "Holy fuck!" It's Sheriff's son, Ryan. His head sits atop the radio antenna.

    "Officer Ryan. Please respond." Ryan's walkie talkie buzzes.

    Rose vomits so I pull her back to the car. Careful not to get her barf on my shoes. "Stay here, everything is going to be okay."

    I grab my cell phone and dial 911.

5 minutes later

    I hear the sirens getting closer. Three cruisers and an ambulance pull up.

   "We're letting you go for the time being but you'll both be brought in for investigation some other time" Officer Dixon nods towards my car.

   I nod and get in my car. Rose is out cold again. Guess I'll take her home. Wait...where does Rosie live? Fuck. Images and awful thoughts of Ryan flood my head on my way home. I pull into the driveway and carry Rose inside. I lay her on the bed, lay blankets over her and curl up on the couch for the night.

    Steven barrels towards me, running faster than I've ever seen.

    He comes to a standstill, bent over himself. Panting hard. He looks up at me and whispers something that I can't decipher.

    "Andrew. It..." Steven mumbles and backs up against a car. He screams out and covers his mouth. Confused. I walk towards the car and peer into the window. Kim lays sprawled against the back seat. Her features slightly disfigured and her stomach ripped open.
Mae's face is smashed against the glass. A thin layer of blood separating her dark skin from the glass.

    Completely digusted and horrified by the scene in front of me, I turn my head away to see a small intestine coiled up and adorned with Officer Ryan's head.

    I feel a sickness rising within and I feel something slimy grasp onto my hand. I pull away. A green slime lingers between our hands. I stagger back as I look at this thing. It's crawling towards me. It's legs twisting and rolling as it slinks towards me.

    "Fret not child, for your punishment will only be mild." It hisses.
