Ordinary people wake up with their phone or an alarm clock. Not in this household. Here you can either wake up by having a 4 or 5-meter-long snake crawling all over you or by having a nonbinary maniac staring at you at 3 in the goddamn morning. At least that is how Jun's morning started today. Since moving in with Sam, Flo, and all the pets a regular sleep schedule was thrown out the window. It turns out neurodivergent partners can have a lot of needs.
Ordinary people have alarms on their phones to remind them of appointments, birth control, having to wake up at 6 am, and things like that. Jun's phone has alarms to remind one or both of his partners to drink water and remind them to eat something else than just Rahmen and sweets.
And checking on theim and their individual needs. While normal couples ask each other things like "How was your day/ -work/ -school/etc." in this house, it's more like "Did you brush your teeth? Did you eat enough? When was the last time you had water? Did you take a shower? Washed your hair? How much did you sleep? How long have you been doing this one thing already? Did you take your meds?" Not always easy but it is what it is. Reminding Sam and Flo of things they keep forgetting. Plus, everything is a mess. Clothes are scattered across the living room floor, parts of abandoned hobbies all cramped together in a small maintenenscloset, Leftoversare sharing a fridge with dead mice and raw chicken. Merch, and plushies all over the place.
But it's not all bad and complicated. Some moments can be rather sweet. Seeing his partners happy and even sometimes playing with some of his pets is one of the most rewarding things for Jun. It's what he always wanted. His own place, exotic pets, and a relationship. Yes it's time consuming but for him this is much better then a normal 9-5 with nothing but an unitrested cat to come home too. Many are happy with their ordenary lives and Jun is happy with his not so odenary live. Things that would freak others out make him laugh. Like accidentally grabbing chicken feet out of the freezer. Or seeing his boyfriend smiling at a giant snake through a glass door and asking what this one will be named. Maybe the goal to be happy was to start ignoring those who wanted him to be like all the others. Odenary isn't for Everyone and most defenatly not for anybody in this house!
