The apartment was charged with tension as the argument between Jimin and Jungkook reached its peak.

Jungkook's frustration boiled over, his voice laced with anger as he shouted, "You never understand, Jimin! You're always so wrapped up in yourself!"

Jimin's eyes blazed with hurt, his own voice rising in defense, "Don't you dare say that, Jungkook! You know how much I've sacrificed for us!"

Their voices reverberated off the walls, the harsh words cutting deeper with each passing moment.

"Maybe I'm just tired of feeling like I'm not enough for you!" cried Jungkook.

"And maybe I'm tired of trying to make you see how much I care!" Jimin mumbled with a hint of finality.

The room seemed to close in on them, the weight of their unspoken grievances hanging heavily between them. A wave of regret washed over the younger of the two as he caught the hurt expression on Jimin's face.

Jungkook's voice quivered as he spoke, "I didn't mean to hurt you, Jimin. I just...I don't know how to handle this anymore."

Jimin's anger softened into sadness, his eyes glistening with unshed tears, "You can't just say hurtful things and expect everything to be okay."

Jungkook's shoulders slumped, guilt gnawing at his chest, "I know, I know. I'm sorry."

Jimin sighed, saying nothing more, and walked out of the room. Jungkook swallowed a lump in his throat. What had he done?

Days went by, and the silence between them grew more pronounced.

Jungkook's attempts to apologize were met with icy stares and turned backs.

"Jimin, please. I'm begging you to listen," Jungkook tried, heart aching. He missed Jimin and he hated being right there but not being able to speak to him.

However, Jimin's silence remained unbroken, his gaze focused on anything but Jungkook.

Jungkook's frustration turned into desperation, his voice cracking as he whispered to him, watching Jimin retreat to the living room, "I can't bear not having you talk to me. It's tearing me apart."

Three days had passed.

Three fucking days since their fight.

Three fucking days since Jimin spoke to Jungkook.

As time wore on, Jungkook's anxiety escalated.

The quiet apartment became a prison of his own thoughts.

What if Jimin was done with him? What if he had pushed him too far?

His heart raced, and a cold sweat broke out across his forehead. The walls seemed to close in as his breath quickened. His chest ached, and his hand began to rub his clothed chest in desperation.

Suffocated.

He felt so suffocated.

He needed air.

"I can't breathe..." He choked out, eyes tearing up as he struggled.

Panic gripped him, squeezing his chest as his vision blurred. He stumbled to the couch, collapsing in a trembling heap. His breaths came off in gasps, fear glazing his eyes.

Jungkook's mind raced, thoughts spiraling out of control, and his body followed suit. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he gasped for air.

He croaked, "Jimin...I need you."

Suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed through the apartment.

Jimin appeared, his eyes wide with concern.

"Jungkook! Baby, what's happening? Are you okay?"

Jungkook's words came out in fragments, choked by fear and anxiety, "C-can't... breathe... scared."

Jimin's anger melted away, replaced by a rush of worry. He knelt beside Jungkook, guiding him through deep breaths.

"Shh, baby. I'm here. Focus on my voice, okay? You're not alone. I'm here. Your Jiminie is here. You're safe. You have nothing to fear. I'm right here, love."

His hands rubbed Jungkook's trembling back in soothing circles, not caring for the tears that soaked his shirt.

"Don't — don't leave," Jungkook sobbed, gripping Jimin's shirt tightly in his fists.

Jimin's heart ached, "baby, I'm here. I'm not leaving you. I'm here, baby."

"I'm — sorry... I'm sor," Jungkook gasped out and Jimin held him tighter.

"Hush, love. Focus on your breathing. Focus on my voice. I'm here. I'm staying. You're okay. We're okay. We'll be alright. Breathe for me, baby. You're so good. Breathe for me."

Jimin's soothing words began to anchor Jungkook, his panicked breaths gradually slowing down.

"That's it, baby. That's it. You're safe. I'm right here."

As the minutes ticked by, Jungkook's trembling lessened, his grip on Jimin's shirt easing. He sniffled, guilt still heavy on his chest.

"I'm sorry, Jimin... I messed up."

Jimin's touch was gentle as he cupped Jungkook's face, his thumb wiping away a tear, and placing a soft kiss over the younger's lips.

"We both did, Jungkook. But that isn't enough to break us. These things happen but I am here. I'm here to stay, in our best and worst. I don't plan on leaving you behind, baby. We'll get through this."

Jungkook rested his cheek over Jimin's shoulder, letting out a shuddering breath.

"I love you...I can't stay without you."

Jimin's eyes stung, "I love you too, baby. There's no way I can live without you. I promise to stay...always. No matter what."

"Me too," Jungkook whispered.

Jimin smiled softly and pecked Jungkook's head.

"My baby," he whispered, fondly.

The end.
