Part 2

Karas pov

"Belly have you seen my red set of socks I packed?" I asked and she shook her head, I leant against her rooms door frame and sighed out softly. "I'm heading out to meet Taylor and bring her here" Steven said as he walked past us, I looked down to see my red socks on his feet. "You're wearing my socks....Why!? I wanted to wear them and plus your big feet will stretch them!" I rose my voice and he ran down the corridor so I chased after him bare footed and ran down the stairs. "STEVEN!" I yelled out and we ran past Jeremiah who was turning to come up the stairs. "Woah woah what're you two doing?" He asked after yawning.

"I've got her socks on" Steven answered as he ran outside and shut the front door in my face, "Stupid rat" I muttered then turned around to see Jeremiah and Conrad staring at me, "I'll-" "Kara would you and Belly be up for being debutantes this summer?" Susannah asked as she approached us holding two envelopes, "Ahhh...That's not my scene Susannah but it might be Bellys I'll ask her" I said and held out my hand, she gave me one of the envelopes and smiled at me, "Thank you Kara!" She said in her usual happy tone before rushing off to the kitchen. "What was you going to say Conrad?" I asked but instead he just turned and walked off. 

"What the heck?" I mumbled and looked round to Jeremiah who shrugged his shoulders in confusion, "Kara" Belly came down the stairs and I held the envelope out to her, "Can you do this up for me?" She asked as she held her tops neck string to keep it on her, she held it securely over her so I tied it into a bow and she turned round to me whilst reading the invitation, "Susannah wants you to be a debutante this summer if you want to of course" I explained and she looked at me with a small smile. "You know...it'll give me something else to do so I suppose I will give it a try" She said, "Go and tell her" Jeremiah said and Belly rushed off to the kitchen. 

 "Hey do you want to come with me to get some stuff from the store?" Jeremiah asked so I nodded at him and then we walked out to his car, I got into the passenger seat and he started the engine with a smile. "Jeremiah can I ask you something?" I said and looked round to him whilst he focused on driving, "Yeah go ahead" He said and I looked towards his steering wheel, "Do you still like Belly?" I questioned and he looked round to me for a short amount of time before looking back at the road. "Well I mean yeah...I haven't gotten over her" He said and I smiled lightly, "Then grow some balls and tell her how you feel" I said and he laughed lightly. 

"But she likes Conrad" He said and I remained silent for a small amount of time, "Kara?" Jeremiah asked so I looked round to him quickly, "Huh? Oh right...she likes Conrad?" I asked and he parked outside the store then looked round to me, "You still like him too don't you?" Jeremiah asked and I rose my brow, "It's been three summers since I haven't been to Cousins....wouldn't it not make sense that I still do? Or?" I asked and he smiled lightly, "Feelings come back when you see the person you like" He reasoned and I nodded. 

"I just don't understand why he turned on me three summers ago...I didn't do anything to him for him to push me away so harshly" I said and Jeremiah sighed out softly, "It's Conrad...he never has reasons for anything and when he does he's always late in telling them" He said and I giggled lightly because he was right. "Come on let's get some sweets and drinks" He said so I followed him into the store and we bought some gummy sweets and sodas then we drove back to the house. 

"Hey go get changed let's go to the beach" Jeremiah said so I rushed up to my room to find Conrad in there, "Conrad?" I said and he turned to me quickly, "You're back" He said as he held my giraffe teddy bear he won that one time at the pier. "Do you...need something?" I asked and he placed Mr Spotty down on my bed, he stepped over to me and parted his lips to try and say something but he sighed out and just rushed towards my door so I sighed out and frowned. "Stop! Stop doing that and just tell me what's bothering you" I said and he looked round to me, "I don't know!" He said loudly and closed my door then he turned to me, "I don't know what's bothering me! I just wanted to apologise for that one summer and I don't even know why I feel like I need to apologise" He said, "Well you pushed me away in a harsh way....you basically showed that our friendship is done so I think an apology is needed" I said. 

"Whatever...Forget I came here" He rushed out and I kicked at my bin and it tipped over, I rushed over to my wardrobe to get changed for the beach with Jeremiah.

Conrads pov

After that little argument I headed straight to the beach to relax myself out until I heard Jeremiahs laugh and saw him running towards the water whilst taking his shirt off, behind him was Kara who was also running and she took off her knee length shirt and tossed it down and ran towards the sea with Jeremiah, those two have always ran into the sea like maniacs when they're together. 

I watched them as they splashed each other and Jeremiah wiped his face with a big smile on his face, he laughed and walked back to the shore and sat down quickly then he laid back so I looked back over to Kara who was still in the water with her back to us, she was looking up at the sky and reaching up as if she was holding the sun, something she's done since years ago. She suddenly slammed her arms down and I heard her say "Ouch!" so I got up and watched as she fussed around in water. 

"CRAMP! JERE!" She yelled out before a wave went over her head, I looked round to see Jeremiah still lying down clearly didn't hear her so I ran towards the water and rushed out to where she was, I wrapped my arm around her mid-section and pulled her to me, she wiped her face and looked round to me with a scrunched nose and squinted eyes due to the water dripping onto her face from her hair. I picked her up bridal style and walked her out of the water, she couldn't keep her eyes off of me but I tried my best to ignore her looks. 

I sat her down on the sand and she winced out so I quickly started to massage her leg and she sighed out slightly, "Kara what happened?" Jeremiah came running over, "I got a leg cramp I did call out for you because I wasn't able to walk or swim....but I guess you didn't hear me" She said, "I'm so sorry...." Jeremiah said, "It's okay Jere" She said and I let go of her leg when she seemed fine, she stood up and I looked up at her, she looked down at me and just sighed out. "Thanks Conrad..." She said before turning around and walking away from me, I licked over my bottom lip and looked round to Jeremiah. "Why are you being so confusing towards her? If you're sorry for being mean to her then apologise and sort your friendship out with her....come on man" Jeremiah said before rushing after her.
