The group all laid on separate blankets on the golf courses asleep. Taylor shifted in her sleep and woke up to Steven having his arm around her stomach, not in a possessive way but in a way that gave the girl butterflies in her stomach. She didn't want him to ever let go but she wouldn't ever tell anyone that. It was wrong to think about Steven in that way since she had a boyfriend but she couldn't help herself.

Taylor soon got up to use the bathroom carefully removing herself from Steven's warm grip. That was until she realized she didn't know the entrance code to the country club.

"Crap." She muttered to herself.

"What's wrong Tay Tay?" Taylor rolled her eyes and turned to see the handsome Steven Conklin in front of her.

"Nothing I just have to pee." Steven grabbed her hand and unwrapped the blanket from his waist and led her to a small secluded wooded area. "Steven what are you doing."

He ignored her and held up a towel around her, "Don't worry I won't look."

"You really expect me to pee in the woods." Steven gave her a look and turned around.

After Taylor finished she started walking back to where the rest of the group was still asleep. She laid down on the blanket and watched as Steven laid down next to her covering them in the blanket.

"Thanks Steven," Taylor said and smiled at him.

"Your Welcome." Steven spaced out for a second getting lost in her eyes. "Just know I'm always here if you need anything. Taylor rolled her eyes and turned so her back faced him.

"Okay you cheeseball I want sleep."

"Is this okay?" He said as he draped his arm over me again, this time across her waist. Taylor nodded and slightly melted into his touch being careful not to let herself become fully vulnerable to him. "Night Tay Tay."

Twenty minutes passed, Steven had fallen asleep but for some reason Taylor couldn't. She pulled her phone out of the lost & found leather jacket and saw that she had 2 missed calls and 3 texts from Milo.

'You sure you cant just leave them'

'Do you just have to be there isn't this their problem'

'when are you coming home babe I need you here'

Taylor felt a sense of anger build up in herself why would he talk shit about her friends. She let a few tears fall from her eyes. She felt like a dick for not breaking it off with him while she still had love for Steven. Taylor thought about how neither of them probably love or even like her. Steven the smartest guy in his year the guy who was going to Princeton in the fall could never like her.

As she continued to overthink and disect every imperfection of herself she felt her heartrate rise and it felt as through she was suffocating in her own thoughts. More tears fell as she stood up and started walking away from the blanket. She went and leaned against a tree, bringing her knees up to her chest.

"Taylor!" Steven ran over and sat down across from her grabbing both of her hands. "Taylor take some deep breaths please." Noticing that her breathing didn't stay the same at all and she still had tears pouring down her eyes, he pulled her to him and laid her down so that her head was in his lap. As he started to run his hands through Taylor's hair she calmed down a bit so she was able to talk.

"Steven?" Taylor managed to peep out in between sobs.

"Yeah?"

"Why are you being so nice to me."

"Because I can." She smiled and sat up, turning red when she realized she was sitting in his lap.

"Sorry," Taylor started to get up off of him but before she could Steven held her down and made her look at him.

"Please stay."

"I guess I owe you one don't I?"

"Why didn't you wake me up and ask for help?" Taylor shrugged. "Didn't I say I would always be here."

"I know."
