Chapter III

Kanin went closer, the other person's face becoming clearer and clearer. He stopped behind him.

''...Ch-Charan?''

Charan with a glass of red wine, who was staring at the night sky seconds back, turned abruptly thinking who would be here at this hour. His mouth widened seeing Kanin.

''Yo-Your Highness, why are you awake at this hour?''

Kanin sighed and stood next to Charan holding onto the railing.

''I..I just couldn't sleep..''

''But Your highn-''

''I told you not to call me that when we are alone right?'' Kanin looked at Charan frowning.

''I-I am sorry, am just not used to it..''

''Call me Nin when its just us..okay?'' Kanin said softly moving closer to Charan.

Charan froze. He was melting because of his voice. He couldn't say anything. He stared. Both of them kept staring at each other. The cricket's voice in the background and the night light shining brightly made the mood even more romantic.

Kanin broke the stare sighing, looking up and gazing at the sky.

''Its so beautiful isn't it?''

Charan kept looking and admiring Kanin's facial features. ''Yes..it is, really beautiful..'' he said still looking at him.

Kanin noticed that Charan was still staring and turned towards him moving closer. He giggled a bit. ''Are u trying to be the male lead from a romantic series?''

Charan giggled, shaking his head.

''Would you like to have a glass of wine..Nin?''

Kanin's smile slowly faded making him blush, licking and biting his lips. He suddenly became nervous hearing Charan call him 'Nin'. It made him feel so many things.

''Uh..I..Yeah I would love to..P'Ran..'' Kanin said blushing, slightly smiling.

Now Charan also blushed hearing this. He then went towards the table, poured wine in another glass and gave it to Kanin.

''Cheers..''

''Cheers..''

Kanin drank a sip and tasted the wine carefully. ''This is so...delicious'' He stared at the glass in awe.

Charan smiled. ''Its one of my favorite collections, I love it too..''.

Kanin then looked at Charan tilting his head. ''Tell me more. What else do you love..P'Ran..''

Charan stopped drinking and turned towards Kanin. ''Nin..are you drunk..?''

''Wha-pfft..Me? Drunk? Mehh I don't get this dru-AHH'' Kanin tripped on his other leg falling behind, his glass hitting the ground, breaking with a loud noise.

''Nin!!''

Charan kept his glass on the table and grabbed Kanin's waist pulling him up. Face inches from each other. Kanin's hands were now on Charan's shoulder while Charan's hands grabbed hold of his waist tightly. They could feel their breath on each other's faces. Kanin was breathing hard, eyes half closed, lips damn pink.

Kanin put one arm around Charan's shoulder's while the other he brought to Charan's face tracing his facial outline. From his forehead to his jaw, then he held his chin up.

''P'Ran..'' He breathed hard.

''Were you always this good looking...hmm..'' He asked with a slow soft voice.

Charan's eyes widened seeing this behavior of Kanin. He snapped out of it and brought them to stand straight. But Kanin didn't leave him. he pulled Charan's collar close to him again their faces being so close. Charan stumbled.

''Nin..what are you..If I had known u had such low tolerance I wouldn't have given u the wine..''

''Hmm..I told you am not drunk..Whatch u saying hnggg P'Ran..Stop changing the topic and answer me..hmm'' Kanin asked loudly with a draggy voice. Charan closed his mouth with his palm.

''Shh..You're going to wake everyone up, Nin. C'mon let me take you to your roo-''

''Wait! Nin!! Why are you cryi-''

''When you said you came here for your duty..When you..waa..you said you are doing all this for protecting me and it was all part of that goddamn duty..You really..'' Tears kept falling.

''...you really didn't feel anything else..P'Ran..''

''..not even a bit..?'' Kanin sobbed pulling his collar close and putting his face on his shoulder.

Charan's heart was paining to see Kanin crying. He didn't know if what Kanin said was really from his heart or just words said because of wine. He pulled Kanin close. One hand on his waist and the other sliding through Kanin's hair.

''Nin...''

''You really think I did all this for..just for duty..?'' Charan said while closing his eyes. He was hurting. Hurting damn so much inside. He thought a lot about this, their statuses but now he couldn't hold back anymore.
