I love the detail on this one

Tommy woke up first,, it was around 2 in the afternoon. he yawned and got up going to the kitchen, he stopped in his tracks when he saw blood all on the floor as if someone broke paint open, he also noticed an apple laying around with blood also on it - "what the-" but before he could finish his wobbly tremble sentence, Tommy suddenly felt a heavy hand on his shoulder and he jumped scared, he turned and saw James with his hands up as if he was in trouble for something, "uhh- sorry Tom-" his voice deeper then normal, and groggy as if he hadn't spoken in weeks.

"I-It's fine.. what happened..?" Tommy pointed at the bloody floor "nightmare aftermath.." James swallowed hard and prayed Tommy wouldn't ask any more. He didn't wait for a response and went to cleane it "please don't tell Wilbur. He thinks my nightmares are gone and the last thing i need is him worried ove-"

"Over what-?" Wilbur walked in looking tired and groggy "over uh- a spilled drink!!" James smiled nervously picking at the loose bits of skin on his fingers, he knew they would hurt later but he was way too anxious to care about that in that moment "you should get to bed I'll cook breakfast !!!" He was panicking and it was noticeable as he tried to balance his weight "uhh-.. okay.."

Wilbur obviously frowned at him with his eyebrow wrinkled, he found this weird since James never cooked, like ever. The only times he even went near the stove was to clean it,, He wasn't even sure James knew how to cook in the first place but he was way to tired to question anymore so he just walked to his room his walk a bit wobbly due to him just waking up.

Nonetheless James did his best effort to cook, normal eggs and bacon, simple as to not stress James out with his limited skills, Tommy honestly loved his cooking a lot, it reminded him of his home-, well before his parents became addicts. Something about it reminded him of him as a child running down the stairs to the smell of fresh food. The golden light of the sun on the plate adding to that dull but delicious food Tommy loved. he was surprised when he tasted it cause he never thought James was the cook type.

They all ate their food and James was soon off to his local coffee shop which he went to basically every day, it was a schedule for him at this point. Sorta like a reflect. He went to of course get coffee just to wake himself up, something about coffee made James's tense shoulders and muscles ease up immediately just at the sip of it.

when he opened the too push door the fresh smell of coffee brew pushed on his face and made a smile lace on his lips, he let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding in, something about that smell made James super calm and relaxed, in all truth he wished he could just sit in the cafe all day staying around that home-like smell.

He ordered his usual coffee but when he went to sit he noticed the cafe was more packed then usual so he just stood around, picking again at the hangnails of his fingers, one pull turned into two, then two into three and so on. soon enough he felt someone tap his shoulder, he flinched and slowly turned to see a girl-, about probably a foot shorter then him, smiling weakly at him with a almost mocking smile in a way, "hey uh-.. If you'd like you can come sit with me!!"

The small gesture made James smiled as he nodded, he grabbed his coffee and went to sit with the girl who seemed kinda introverted, she seemed like the type to come up to others with a clipboard and ask for them to sign a petition for wildfires or some thing like that, not that there was something wrong with that but James just inferred that,"what's your name?" He asked to be polite to the girl who gave him somewhere to rest his legs "Alice, nice to meet you- uh-"

"James, james marriott" he had a broad smile as they talked and laughed, she gave him a hope like no other, something about her was so sweet and special to him. a while had passed and that's when James felt his phone buzz in his pocket, disrupting his talk with Alice, they honestly hit it off well. They seemed like they had been best friends for years on end when the truth was way way farther from that. he picked it up and saw it was a text from Tommy "hey jimbo!!! Uh- I know I don't usually text but I'm just wondering when you'll be backkk!!! It's movie night rememberrrr??" Tommy for some strange reason always felt the need to stretch his words.
