Interlude pt 1

It was quite noisy in the cafeteria as Dream was sitting at a table eating his lunch. He normally doesn't eat that often but he decided to head in since he had a feeling that something might go down. He was minding his own business when he felt his ears hurt. The noises were getting to him and was giving him a headache.

He groan softly to himself before he felt a presence of someone that he considered a friend. He smiles to himself. "You may sit, if you wish, Bacon." He softly said before lifting up his head.

"You're still in tune with your surroundings, huh?" Techno said with a smirk as he soon sat down next to him. He knew for the fact that Dream might not be able to see him but he can still feel his presence. It still kinda freak him out but he can admire it.

Dream gave out a chuckle. "What can I say?" He questioned while shrugging. "I know you, you tend to have this powerful aura around you to the point it makes others feel threatened." He said to him while playing with his food. Mostly his head was turned towards Techno.

Techno couldn't help but have a smile. Dream knew him very well and he was grateful towards including that he also treats him as a friend. "You do. Don't you, nerd." He said to him as he stares at his friend. He wasn't hungry at the moment. He was fairly new to this place he didn't get lost but at the same time, he swears that the halls were moving every time and he couldn't find his way.

Dream hesitated a bit. He understands the situation at the moment as he doesn't want to undermine the whole thing. "I know we had talked about this, but-" he was cut off by Techno. "Dream, I know what you've been through but you know my stand on this." Techno interrupted him while looking at him.

Dream but his bottom lips as he squeezed his spoon in his hand. He continued to play with his food but now his head was tilted downwards. He felt guilty and just wanted to understand if they were okay. Yet, he couldn't help but understand by being pushy he'll be back as his old self again and he didn't want that at all.

"I'll drop it." He said it in a whisper. Dream gently dropped his spoon. He couldn't continued to eat. Not that he was eating in the first place. Everything about the smell of food or just the thought of it, makes him feel nauseous and make him want to vomit.

Dream soon gets up as he turns his head towards Techno as his eyes locked with his. Even though Dream was blind, he understood why Techno never wanted anyone to know about the voices. He could see them surrounding Techno. Like the whispers of shadows that lingered in the back of his mind that constantly make him feel insane.

"Your eyes are still creepy." Techno whispers as he stares right at them. He remember the time that Dream's eyes were of a vibrant color. Like Ender pearls that Enderman's would drop. He miss those eyes, the eyes that shown him Dream's true feelings about anything that involves him. "Despite being blind. Your eyes gotten more dull." He said to Dream.

Dream tensed up a bit when Techno commented on his eyes. He always hated his eyes but ever since he got here, he knew that his blindness was a weakness that not even his own master isn't even aware of at all. He was glad in that but at the same time it made him anxious about it. He was grateful for some of the other servants for helping him and for Caster Cu for letting him sometimes use his hounds to help guide him.

"Why, thank you." Dream said with a strain smile. He mostly just wanted to get away from this conversation but at the same time most of the other servants aren't on speaking terms with him, since the incident of him injuring their master. He did apologize but some servants took it to heart that he was a threat and he was numb to it.

"I got to go." He said to Techno. "It was nice talking to you, Bacon." Dream soon leaves the cafeteria as his tense body soon relaxed as tears swelled up in his eyes as he couldn't take it anymore. He felt the pressure of what he did wrong back in his homeland that it just made his body numb to it all. He soon walked back to his room, quietly.

Within the void, three figures were talking among themselves. "So, are we going through with this?" One voice asked the other two as it echoed into the surrounding darkness. It wanted to confirm the plan as it was ready.

The second voice gave a nod. "Yes but are we willing to risk it as it's has an impact on Dream's life?" They said while looking at the others. They looked at each other thinking for a moment.

The last voice sighs. "It's for the best and the only way." It started. "Even so, He can't die in this world after all, we have to risk it. Dream is just a vessel after all." It sneered. "Besides, IT just wants knowledge that Dream can provide but you know how he is, after all." It continued. "You should know, Nightmare." It walked over to Nightmare, who was in front of it. "He's after you and Dream."

Nightmare cuts it off. "Look, XD." He place a hand on XD's chest. "Dream can handle this. We are now apart of him but we both know that he'll call Illusions whether we like it or not since he can't even call us anymore." He pointed at its chest.

Before XD could reply another voice chimed in. "Is it really fair to Dream that we're doing this?" The Third voice asks as they watched from the sidelines. Both XD and Nightmare looked over and their gaze soften.

"Day, we know you are worried but we have too." Nightmare started before XD chimes in. "I'm sorry Day. This is a consequence, that I am willing to take even if it means losing Dream." XD said before disappearing into the void.

Both Nightmare and Day looked at each other. Day had a worried look on their face. "Night, I don't like this idea, at all." They looked at him. "Dream's already in danger and if this continued, that we'll lose our baby brother forever." They said with a sadden voice.

Night looked at Day. "I know, Day. I don't like this either." He said to him. "But it's the only plan that we have." He stated before also leaving into the void once more. Day soon followed.

One thing remained in the void. "Hmm, let's hope our vessel survived."

Finally done. Hope you like this little teaser chapter for an upcoming chapter that probably will be written in a month.

Also, sorry for not uploading anything. Kinda busy and ended up being sick.

This chapter ended up becoming my favorite to write as it adds some insight on what's happening behind the scenes from the regular chapters as well.

I might hint on who Dream is going to be with because they are my favorite character in the Fate series.

I haven't abandoned this story, so don't worry it's becoming hard has mostly I'm not in the DreamSmp fandom anymore but I'll try my best to continue writing this story.
