Lover Boy || ZeeNunew

Chapter 10

Once Nunew finished eating his food he bid farewell to his parents and went upstairs to find Zee. Upon reaching Zee's room he knocked lightly on the door before entering. His Hia was nowhere to be found but Nunew could hear the shower running in the background. The boy sighed and sat down on the bed grabbing a pillow and setting it on his lap, clutching it hard. His stomach was starting to hurt a bit and he wanted to hug someone right now. 

To take his mind off his pain Nunew looked around Zee's room hoping to find new things. There were only two times he had been to Zee's house. One is last year and the other is right now. Last time he was too shy to stay with Zee so he stayed in their guest room and did not take the time to look around this time either. 

The man's room was neat. To Nunew it was minimalistic. A couple of photo frames were placed right across from the bed. A picture of his family and himself rested on the bookshelf and above the shelf on the wall were a few framed pictures of Nunew. 

he had to say he was surprised he had not expected Zee to have pictures of him in his room. After all they were simply partners for work and Nunew didn't think it was normal to have pictures of your coworkers in your room. But Nhu himself had a couple of pictures of Zee in his condo. Although he had always hid them when Zee came over they were relatively all over the place. 

A few minutes later the bathroom door clicked and out entered a half-naked zee with a bath robe covering his bottom half his torso up exposed for the world to see. Upon setting eyes on Zee Nunew's cheeks dusted a shade of pink. And his stomachache supposedly disappeared. His eyes never left the other's body for a second, tracing every little line and defined ab he could find. 

Zee who was shocked at Nunew's sudden appearance stayed silent before noticing Nunew's drooling stare. He smirked and grabbed a shirt before walking over to Nunew. "Like what you see?" He cheekily asked a stunned Nhu. "Hia!~" Nunew scolded Zee who chuckled before putting on his shirt and went over to his closet to grab a pair of pants. Nunew looked away as Zee changed and a few seconds later he could hear footsteps approaching the bed. 

"Nhu, did you eat?" 

"Mm." 

"How much?" 

"A lot." 

Zee reached over to his nightstand and grabbed a box and took out a little white fever pill. "Here take this." Nunew grabbed it without question and  swallowed it. Zee smiled, content and laid back into his bed gently pulling Nunew with him. The older grabbed hid phone from the nightstand and handed it overt o Nunew who immediately turned it on scrolling over to IG to post a new story. The younger clicked on the little plus sign on the bottom of the screen and opened the camera. 

If you didn't know Nunew loved to post IG stories. Especially on Zee's phone. The boy gabbed Zee's hand and held onto the man's pinky finger. He quickly clicked a picture and posted it in the blink of an eye. Zee silently chuckled. 

How had I been so lucky to find a man like this? 

Nunew felt someone staring at him and looked up to see Zee looking at him with those eyes. HIs face heated up without his permission and he couldn't help but be shy. ANYONE can tell you that Zee's eyes are filled with love when he looks at Nunew. ANYONE. anyone you ask will tell you that. Net had taken the opportunity to take photos of the two whenever he can and the amount of times he had caught Zee looing at Nhu with those dove eyes were impeccable. Everyone except Nhu and Zee can see that they had feelings for each other.

"Aiyo Zee!!!! I'm telling you he likes you! Are you deaf or something?" Net annoyingly yelled at Zee who simply chuckled and shook his head. 

"Mai. No way. This is Nunew we're talking about." 

"Yea bro this is Nunew were talking about. He literally said that you're his idol Zee he--" 

"Exactly! I'm just his idol, his Phi, his older brother who's supposed to take care of him. Ai Net I can never be more than a brother to him na. Don't you get it? It doesn't matter how much I like him."  

Net sighed. "Don't YOU get it. Oh my friend, you need to tell him you like him na. You guys have been hiding your feelings for 2 years. I can't stand it anymore." 

"There are no feelings net. Its just me and my stupid heart."

Nunew turned his head back down as his hand gripped the phone tight, squishing the rim. Zee smiled and went back to playing with Nunew's hair. And in the heat of the moment Zee just had to say. "Nhu, will you be my boyfriend?" 

Both people froze. Nunew unable to believe what Zee said and Zee unable to believe what he, himself just said. Silence persisted as the shock slowly waned. "Mai Nhu I---" 

"Hia do you really mean it?" Nunew was serious. His eyes pierced Zee's and the older was unable to answer the question. He was afraid of what the answer might be. He was worried about what would happen to the little thing they have now. He worried that if he said yes...then he might ruin everything they have now. And Zee didn't want that so instead of answering he simply gawked at Nunew who patiently waited before giving up. It pained Zee to see Nunew so sad. But then again he wondered why he was so sad. It couldn't be because he liked him could it? Nunew moved away from the bed and Zee reached out to him but unlike before Nunew pushed him away a tiny tear fell from hie eyes. 

"Hia our parents must be waiting for us." And with that Nunew left shutting the door with a small bang behind him. Zee simply stood there unable to comprehend what happened.

The following days Nunew was nursed back to health and he returned to his normal healthy self. After a few more days of time with their parents they went back to Bangkok, where they had to resume filming their new series. These were the most painful times. 

Zee indistinctly remembered when they had landed Nunew hadn't uttered a single word to him. Not one. He had arrived and left in a taxi back to his condo. Zee was hurt but he knew Nunew was also hurt. And he knew he had to give him some time. Oh how much the older man wished he could simply run to Nunew and tell him that he really did mean it and he liked Nunew so much his heart would burst every time he spoke. But that didn't happen. instead he went back to his own condo and called his best friends who came over in a matter of minutes after hearing Zee's heartbroken voice.

The doorbell rang and Zee opened the door and walked back to his couch without baring a single glance at the two people in front of him. 

"Zee~ what's the matter?" Net asked as he sat down, Max next to him. He was worried for his friend who looked pained yet guilty. 

"Net, Max! I--I did something stupid. Ah! I'm so dumb. So dumb!" Zee told them in a panicked voice almost frantic. 

"Zee! What did you do?" 

"So so stupid!' Zee kept chanting the words as Max and Net tried to get something out of the mumbling man. 

"ZEE!" Net yelled, ending Zee's chants. "What. did you do?" 

Zee looked at him, a helpless expression stained his face. The tears he held back for so long finally set free. 

"I asked Nhu to be my boyfriend." 

Max and Net sighed before bursting. "What!" 

"And when he asked if I really meant it I just--I just fucking stood there like an idiot and didn't say anything. Now Nhu's upset and won't talk to me." 

"YOU WHAT!" Net and Max both stood up and shouted in unison.
