You never know what to think when you bestfriend that has been your crush since grade school is in a hospital dying.. it messes with your head.
I remember me and dally walking (more like limping) our way to Jhonny's room. we just won the rumble. Dally was talking to him about the rumble. I dont know, I was too worried and too tired to think straight. He then asked for me. I walked towards him and leaned down He then said "stay gold. Ponyboy... stay gold.." at that moment jhonny had flat lined.
Luckily Dally thought fast and ran to get a nurse. Jhonny was dead for 1 minute and 45 seconds before they brought him back.
It scared the shit outta me. I thought he had really left us..
If he did leave us, I don't think Dally would have been able to take it well, I think he would'a killed himself or somethin'..
After a while me and Dal went back home.
Maybe we have hope after all..
