Sawyer and her new family left for their new home, one that they hope to raise their young boy in and enjoy their lives in. I will go back to my home soon, but I have to finish some business before we leave. I think Sophie does too.
Sophie stares at Volkov as he sits in the chair in front of her. Before he can think she lunges and punches him across the face. "Oh hell yeah that felt good." She laughs and shakes out her hand. Her fiancé Nick grabs her hand and begins wrapping it.
He's a professional fighter at one of my Fathers rings where Sophie happened to meet him one night. He's very supportive of her and Kit, their past and how much she still loves him. In fact he fights for Kit too, and a plus is he's got a nice British accent.
My Father comes and stands beside me, "don't let her kill him."
"She wouldn't, why?" I ask still.
"As much as I hate to admit it. His actions aren't justified but we can't help who raised us." He turns his head to look at me with a gleam in his eyes. "His father and my father used to be best friends, the only difference is that his fathers punishments went beyond mental, they were physical."
"It's all he knew." I announce.
"Until he met his wife and had his own kids. Family changes everyone." I hum in acknowledgment. It sure does, but he will need to face the wrath of Sophie and her love for Kit first.

I slowly sit down on the coach, careful of the new stitches pretty much everywhere. Sawyer slowly sits down next to me still in pain from the birth and hands me our gorgeous son.
I stare down at him with a complete heart eyes and can't seem to tear my eyes away. Sawyer kisses my cheek and softly giggles at me.
"What's that for?" I whisper and look up at her.
"How do you guys look so alike when he's only be alive for a day or so." She laughs and takes a sip from her water bottle.
"Come here." I extend my arm out and she curls up against my side carefully. "Look at him, he's perfect my love." I kiss her forehead. I complete what I have to say with much seriousness though, "thank you Sawyer, seriously, for giving me all of this."
Sawyer wipes her tears and kisses me on the lips, "you deserve the world."

Later that night when the baby is sleeping and Sawyer and I have taken our place in bed, she asks the question I have been dreading. "Can we talk about it?"
I sigh and nod against her hair, "yeah, we can baby."
She sits up and sit chris-cross in front of me, "you don't have to tell me, please, don't feel any pressure in my asking."
"Hey, it's okay, let's go. Ask me anything." I wave my hand in a careless gesture.
"Can you tell me some of the things they did? I just want to know some potential triggers...." She starts tearing up and my whole face softens. "I'm sorry, it's the hormones, I can't stop it." She gestures to her face almost in an angry manner.
"Uhm, well it started with my Father, you know most of the things he would usually do, just some beat downs." I flex my wrist and then clench it. The urge to hurt them back is cursing through veins. Like the only way to get this metal pipe wrapped around my throat off.
"But he brought in his men at one point, they got playful with some knives and whips, I was completely naked as well so there wasn't much protection on my end. Then there was a water boarding day...." I stop and clear my throat to stop the tears from making an appearance.
"Is that why you didn't want to take a shower at the hospital and before bed...." She bites her fist. I slowly nod, afraid that if I speak I'll break down. "Ryder, baby."
She lurches forward and softly cups my cheeks in both of her hands, "if you need to let it all out, I am here for you and it's okay to cry my love."
I slowly nod and turn my head so all of the weight is rested in the palm of her hand. Just like I would lay my life in the palm of her hands.
I break down before I can stop myself once again.
She's on my lap, hugging me against her chest before I can blink and I cry all of my pain, exhaustion and weakness into her. For what feels like hours on end I sob into the arms of the girl I love.
I long for revenge, I strive to hunt down the people who hurt me and my family. I won't stop until Volkovs life is in the palm of my hands.
