Mike, Jessica, Bella, and I walked into the cafeteria after changing and got our lunch. Once we got to our table Mike pulled out the chairs for us to sit on. Bella sat next to Mike as I sat between Bella and Eric.
"Burrito, my friend?" Mike asked Eric as he sat down.
"Hey, Mikey! You met my home girls, Bella and Mae?" Eric asked Mike as he put his arm around my shoulders
"Oh, Your home girls?" Mike asked not long before the guy from this morning came over and kissed Bella on the cheek before saying my girl and taking Mike's chair from underneath him causing him to fall over.
"Sorry I had to mess up your game, Mike!" he yelled before Mike ran after him.
"Ohoh Tyler" Eric said next to me as he laughed.
"Oh, my god. It's like first grade all over again you guys are like the shiny new toys" said Jessica, Bella and I just smiled awkwardly. Honestly, what's her deal?
"Simile" A girl said suddenly a flashbulb blinds us, Once I stopped squinting from the light I saw a cute girl "Sorry, I needed a candid for the feature" she said sitting down
"Features dead, Angela. Dont bring it up again" Eric said as he got up
"It's ok, I just.." Bella started saying before Eric interrupted her "I got your back, baby" he said patting Bella on the back before leaving
"Guess we'll just run another editorial on teen drinking" Angela said disappointed as she looked down at her camera
"You know, you could always go for eating disorders" Bella said trying to cheer her up
"Or speedo padding on the swim team" I said chiming in
"Actually, that's a good one" Angela exclaimed, liking the Speedo idea
"Kirk. right? That's exactly what I thought" Jessica said
"Yeah, we're talking Olympic-size" Angela replied to her
"There's no way. He's so skinny. It doesn't make sense" Jessica told her.
As I turned to talk to Bella I noticed she was distracted by something outside. I turned my head towards the window and him. The double doors of the cafeteria swung open as five people entered, three guys, and two girls, all chalky pale, all beautiful.
"Who are they?" Bella asked the girls. The girls stopped their conversation to look back towards the door.
"The Cullens" Angela answered.
Jessica leaned in to gossip "They're um... Doctor and Mrs. Cullen's foster kids. They all moved down here from Alaska like, two years ago"
"They, kinda keep to themselves" Angela added
"Because they're all together. Like together, together. The blonde girl, that's Rosalie, and the big dark-haired guy, Emmett, they're, like, a thing. I'm not even sure that's legal" Jessica said
Rosalie had long blonde hair, she was breathtaking. She looked like a model and just radiated confidence. Emmett on the other hand was big and brawny. I felt like I knew Emmett, he seemed familiar to me.
"Jess, they're not actually related." Angela added trying to justify their relationship
"Yeah, but they live together. It's weird" Jessica replied
Honestly, It it wasn't really weird as long as they didn't grow up together. I was snapped out of my thoughts when jessica started speaking again
"And, okay, the little dark-haired girl's Alice she's really weird and she's with Jasper, the blonde one who looks like he's in pain"
Alice was thin with pixie black hair, she was also short. Jasper was tall and lean with honey-blond hair with a tortured expression.
As I looked at Alice I felt as if I knew her too. My body reacted strangely, my chest hurt and I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. I just felt this immense painful feeling of sadness. The moment Jasper's eyes met mine I felt a wave of relief like all the sadness just washed away, it was strange.
"Dr. Cullen's like this foster dad/matchmaker" Jessica continued
"Maybe he'll adopt me" Angela added jokingly
"Who's he" Bella asked
I looked at the direction Bella was looking in and saw him, the guy from my dreams. He was tall and lanky with untidy, bronze-colored hair. The moment he walked into the cafeteria I had to look away. I felt as if I had to hide from him. I turned before he took a look at my face.
"That's Edward Cullen. He's totally gorgeous, obviously, but apparently nobody here's good enough for him." Jessica said answering Bellas' question "Like I care, you know? So yeah" she added while looking down to play with her food. By the look of the smile on Angela's face, I just knew.
"Someone still sour about being rejected" I said under my breath as Edward walked by. He smiled as if he had heard us. Edward sat with his siblings by the table near the cafeteria windows.
I could tell Bella just couldn't keep her eyes away from him. She was interested in him, and it pained me a bit, I didn't understand why. It just did. Jessica seemed to notice too.
"Seriously , like, don't waste your time."
"I wasn't planning on it" Bella replied to her. I noticed she was looking back at their table before she turned and hid behind her hair.
I could feel someone staring at us, their eyes were burning a hole into my head and it wasn't long till I got a migraine that wouldn't go away. When I turned a bit I could see Edward staring at us. That's when the bell rang it was time to go to class.
(Authors note: I'm so sorry that this chapter is short I've been so busy with school that I haven't had time to update or write anything but I'm working on the other two chapters so hopefully I can finish this)
