Twenty Eight

Nick just got home from training. We walks into the kitchen where I am. "Hey baby girl." He says as he hugs me tightly and rests his head on my shoulder. "Hi Nicky." I say with love whilst hugging him back. We realise from the hug and kiss. Even though it's only been a couple hours, i've missed him. I always do when he's gone for training. "Where's Annalise?" Nick asks and just that second Annalise comes downstairs with her suitcase and carry on bag. "Where are you going?" I ask with laughter. "Home." Annalise says with pride. "You mean your going back to Melbourne?" I ask. "Yes. I can't be here anymore." She tells us. "What about the game?" Nick asks. "Honestly I don't even think Josh would want me to be there." Annalise says and then there is a moment of silence. "Well at least let us take you to the airport." I request to Anna. "There is no use. The uber is already here." She says. Annalise hugs us goodbye. When she comes over to hug me I ask her one last question. "Annalise why are you doing this?" I ask. "You'll understand when Josh gets back. I'm sure he will tell you the full story." Annalise replies "Alright..." I say confused but also in a way that Anna knows i'm understanding and listening. "Nick, just know that what Josh did to you... He didn't mean it." She tells Nick. "So what are you saying?" Nick asks confused. "All i'm saying is I know what Josh is like. He will come back and tell you the full story. Then you will get it." Ann says with a soft, fake smile on her face. "But your apart of the family Anna." I say trying to stop her from leaving. "But I don't deserve to be." She replies. The uber beeps it's horn signalling that it's waiting. Anna then leaves.

Nick and I are cuddle up on the couch together watching a movie. It feels so weird without Anna but she's better off in Melbourne. As Nick and I continue watching our movie there is an knock on the door. "Anna's back..?" I asks confused. I look at Nick. That's when we both realise. We get up from the couch and walk over to the front door. Nick opens it. "Hey guys..." Josh says awkwardly as the door has just been opened for him.

"So she cheated on you?" Nick asks as Josh finishes explaining what happened that night with Anna. "She told me she wanted to be straight up honest with me and then told me that the only reason she got so mad about that girl in my insta comment section is because she wanted me to look like a bad person aswell after what she did." Josh explains. "I would have never expected that." I say. Josh then looks over at Nick. "Look I know there is no excuse and I can see that I have done damage but any punches I threw at you the other night were all out of anger, not towards you." Josh says. "It's alright." Nick says. "It's really not, you were just trying to protect everyone." Josh says. Thank god Josh doesn't hate Nick. I know how much Nick loves Josh and he would never want that happening again. The boys then hug it out. "I'm really sorry brother." Josh says. "Your alright. Mistakes happen." Nick says.

It's the night before the game so both boys have gone to bed early. I'm in bed but I can't sleep. I decide to text Anna and see how she is going. I haven't talked to her since she left. I know that what she did is wrong and i'll probably end up not seeing her much now but I still want to reach out for her.
