We could not wake up before 10AM, despite the fact that aunty Fayzah came so many times in our room to wake us up and we all groaned and just went straight back to sleep all the times she came, until I felt Maryam stir and she sat up yawning, her long dark hair was a mess from us trying out hairstyles, I have no doubts my hair looks no different.

Aunty Fayzah comes back again and this time she sighs relieved when she sees us half awake. "I'm make french toasts for you kids, come on, we can have tea and than go out." Aisha and I quickly sit up and Aunty fayzah laughs and shakes her head. "Get dressed and come out."

"I'm going to my room and showering there." Maryam says smiling and grabs her things and leaves.

"You go first." I tell Aisha, she nods and we quickly finish cleaning up the room before she heads to the shower.
I take the opportunity to call my mom, it's been bugging my head for a couple days and I need to get it out. I do a video call and a few rings later my mom picks up and her mood is anything but good.

"You're still in bed Nyra, it's 10 and you're sleeping." Mom scolds.

I smile patiently. "We slept a bit late yesterday so Aunty Fayzah let us sleep in a bit more today, I'm just waiting for Aisha to finish her shower and than I'm going."

She sighs. "I have raised you to get up early and help."

"I know and it just happened one time, it won't happen again, I promise mom." I say smiling, her face relaxes and she smiles back, it's at times like this when I see so much of myself in my mom, we have the same cupid's bow lips and our honey coloured eyes that are more upturned, it's times like this when I wish I could just fix everything between us, I want to hug my mom and tell her I miss you. "I miss you." I blurt.

She looks taken back but nods smiling. "I miss you too Nyra, now go on have fun and tell Imran to call me." I nod and greet before I cut the call.

"That was a good call." Aisha says peek her head from the bathroom.

I laugh and nod. "It really was which is kind of a shock but I'm happy."

Aisha comes out all excitedly. "And I pray that your mom and you stay like that until forever." I chuckle and nod. "Also I think it's time we start with our plan."

I nod getting excited. "It's going to be great." Aisha nods. "You can pick and I'll go shower."

An hour later us 3 girls were finally ready, Maryam had come with her box of jewellery and make up and we did a few borrowing here and there, Maryam also convinced Aisha and I to try kajal, we told her we weren't in the mood for any type of make up and she insisted on just kajal saying that every woman here needs it and so she put for us and wow, the black kajal brings out our eyes and gives us a more female look.

I brush my hand over my navy tunic, the sleeves have gold embroidery and a matching design is on the collar of the tunic, and I'm wearing a light blue jeans.

"And before we go, here." Maryam says opening a bag of bangles, Aisha and I gasp at the different colours.

"How do you even have so many?" Aisha asks reaching for some light pink and silver ones to match her clothes. "Back home it's so hard to get them." I nod in agreement reaching for a set of different shades of blue.

"You can get them extremely cheap at the bazaar, it's very easy to collect." Maryam explains smiling. "Now we can go."
We excitedly leave the room and head to the living room, we find uncle Muhammad talking on the phone and we go to the kitchen but we only find the helpers. "Maybe they're outside."

We find everyone in the courtyard, I felt a tiny bit guilty for coming out late but the fact that neither Imran nor Zayaan were here made me feel better.

"You girls look absolutely beautiful Mash-Allah." Dadi says lovingly.

"Now come on have breakfast, maybe one of you could go check on the boys." Aunty Fayzah says.

"Not me." Aisha says.

"I'll go." I say.

"No need to, we're here." Imran says, we turn to see both Zayaan and Imran walking out.

"Breakfast and than we're out." Aunty Fayzah says and we all sit take a seat on the floor around the table and chatter instantly filled the courtyard and than uncle Muhammad comes in, his face filled with stress but it wipes away in a blink as he takes a seat next to his wife.

I take my attention back to my food but soon feel heavy attention on me, I know who it belongs to before I even dare to look up and meet his piercing gaze from the other side of the table, Zayaan doesn't turn away, I raise an eyebrow and he shrugs, I roll my eyes and be grins turning his attention back to his plate.

After breakfast came the hustle of getting everyone out of the house which was probably harder than anything, I don't think I have ever seen so much rushing and running in my life but eventually we were all squished in different cars and headed to the city merely a 10 minutes drive.

"What did you all do last night?" Uncle Muhammad asks from his driver's seat and than us four in the back start talking over each other about what we did.

"You forgot ayatul kursi Zayaan?" Aunty Fayzah asks with a gasp glancing back at us.

We all laugh as Zayaan rolls his eyes embarrassed. "I'm going to pray you all forget about that."

"I think it's too late for that." I say smiling.

"Than no caramel fudge for you Rose." He smirks.

"I'll just take it from you." I say rolling my eyes.

"I'll help." Aisha whispers to me and I nod.

"You can certainly try." Zayaan smirks pulling out a packet of fudge from his pocket and hands a couple pieces to Imran. "Perhaps I'll share with Maryam." He says smugly.

My cheeks heat up and I glare at him. "Fine, I'll just go buy for myself." I didn't realise I was that annoyed. I stare out the window as Imran and Aisha fall into another conversation.

10 minutes later we were arriving at the bazaars.
