Time: 12:56 AM, November 6th
Place: "Kiki's coffee" coffee shop
Mia: *shocked* "WHAT?! YOU DATED BRANDON?!"
Aaron: *angry* "Mia, don't shout, goddamn it!"
Mia: "Sorry.. it's just that I can't believe that he is your ex..."
Madison: "Yeah.. but how? Aren't you straight? Did I miss something?"
Aaron: "Well, I am straight.. but it wasn't always like that."
Mia: "...does that mean story time?"
Aaron just looked at both of his friends.
Aaron: *sighs* "Fine.. it's better for you to know, honestly."
Madison and Mia got comfortable in their chairs and waited for Aaron to start with the story.
Aaron: "It all happened back in highschool. I was just a band kid who played the flute. At the same time, I was in the middle of the crisis, trying to figure out which sexuality is for me.
One day, when I was about to go to practice in one of the classrooms, that's where I saw Brandon. He was playing the violin. The melody was enchanting and, as an ex-cello player, I couldn't do anything but to just watch him play incredibly.
When he stopped, he put his violin in the case and was getting ready to leave. That's when I finally had the courage to compliment his playing. He turned around and it felt like I saw the most beautiful being in this world. And his little laugh, as well as his voice sounded so angelic when he said thank you. That soft gaze from those dreamy gray blue eyes was the last straw for him to put me in the curse.
We then started talking about music and, later on, the conversation developed to the point where we decided to exchange phone numbers. After just 2 weeks of chatting and occasional joke flirting, I decided to confess my feelings to him. Luckily, he felt the same way. We would stay at one another's place to do homework or study for exams. Sometimes we would skip classes to make out in the library or men's bathroom.
This has been going on for a couple of months and we've been thinking of having... sex. He was ready for it and I wasn't. I was scared honestly, because I felt like I'd be the problem for a bad first time. Besides... I was self-conscious of my looks at the time.
It was late being in school when there was a sunset. We were in the library, making out like always. When Brandon suggested going to his place, I knew what he had in mind. I confronted Brandon about this and he just gave a blank look. I couldn't tell whether he was mad at me or not. "So, you're suggesting that we should break up?" he asked. I hesitated for a bit. Either yes or no could result in bad consequences. After a bit of thinking... I said yes. He met that answer with a blank stare. "Alright then, do as you wish." he blurted out and walked past me like it was nothing. I couldn't believe what happened and seconds after, I broke down in tears. He didn't come back to comfort me. I was all alone.. But maybe that was a better option... *sighs* And that's the end of the story."
Aaron sips his left over Frappuccino. Both Mia and Madison were silent.
Aaron: *concerned* "..Uh, guys? Are you ok?"
Both of Aaron's friends still didn't say anything.
Aaron: *a bit annoyed* "Say something, goddamn it."
Mia: "...I honestly don't know what to say."
Madison: "Same... That was unexpected."
Aaron: "Yeahh, I get what you mean."
