Part 9

The next day

Erika's POV

I turned on my side to avoid the sun's rays piercing through my curtains. I spent several hours yesterday talking to my mom, dad, grandpa and grandma about what I should do. 

They told me that if I stay neutral, join him or ( they are very much against it ) join the fight against Tom, they will support me 100% but prefer that I or stay out of the war as much as possible. 

I suspect Paddy will appear shortly here maybe today or tomorrow but I would bet on today. When I looked at the clock it was only 8:32 am so I decided to slowly get ready for the day.

I looked in the mirror and saw that I looked good but knew that if I were to meet Tom today I would have to dress more appropriately. 

Although I have elves in the manor they see that I like to cook for myself, they only cook for me when I don't have time or I'm meeting someone important and need to prepare for a meeting. 

Their main job is to keep the house tidy and the grounds i.e. garden and greenhouse. 

I am proud of my greenhouse because I have practically all the plants for potions from the easy to find ones to the rarer eggs. 

The room is enchanted so that the plants can grow peacefully no matter what temperature they need. 

I headed to the kitchen and saw that Tulip had prepared things for me to make breakfast. I knew that Misha and Rain had been fed by her because I saw them at their bowls when I entered the kitchen.

When I finished eating, I went to the office to review a book on ancient runes that I bought in Norway. I didn't take the time to get my hands on it, reviewing the documents I got from Gold when I left. 

I don't know how much time had passed when I felt the guards let someone in, and I knew who it was 

'' Erika '' I heard a man's voice as I entered the living room 

I saw him looking at my parents painting

''Sirius '' I said attracting his attention  

'' When the Twins told me that you might be considered Black I thought they were exaggerating. Now I see that they are right, but I can see Lily and Prongs' features. 

You look beautiful Erika and your magic, I can sense it well. I kept it quite well Erika not everyone has such control over our magic " he said walking slowly towards me. 

When he got in front of me, he hugged me and I reciprocated the hug just as strong. We sat together on the couch 

'' You don't even know how you scared me Erika. When I found out about your disappearance, I thought I had lost you," he said

'' Remus was no better, four members of the Order had to hold him down to keep him from killing Dumbledore when he told us that you had disappeared. I understand why you didn't tell me about your plan, and I can say that I'm really proud of you. You are, however, grounded " he said 

" I love you " I replied 

" I love you too, but I can't save you from the lecture Moony wants to give you " he replied slightly amused 

" I'll calm him down with the rare chocolate I bought. We know that he has a weakness for chocolate '' I replied 

'' True '' replied an amused Sirius and a comfortable silence fell between us. 

I sighed deeply '' He wants to get to know me, right. That's one of the reasons why you came here and didn't send a letter. I know you are on the dark side of this fight Sirius and I don't love you any less for it. You will always be my Paddy " I said 

" I wanted to see you after almost a year of not seeing Erik, and that is the main reason for my visit. Remus wanted to come with me, but we decided it will be better if I came alone. He wants to meet with you, but it doesn't have to be today. He wants to know your opinions, ideas and whether you are moving away from the war or joining the fight " he said truthfully

" You can tell him right away that I am staying away from the fight. I will not be used by the so-called Light as a pig for slaughter and I will not fight in their wars '' I began after a moment's thought

 ''I can meet with him in two days, because I need to mentally prepare for this meeting. The meeting will be held here and can only take three people with him. That doesn't apply to you and Remus because you guys will be here '' I added 

'' I know there is someone here who really wants to be with you '' I said 

'' Hey Padfoot '' said Dad 

'' Prongs '' replied Sirius breathlessly. I walked quietly away from them so they could talk freely
