chapter 3: The Boy

I slowly opened my eyes feeling a dizziness wash over me I was lying in bed feeling the softness of the sheets touching my skin. That's when a sudden realization hit me I wasn't home I wasn't in the woods I was in someone else's house in their bed suddenly a shadow cast over me as I looked up seeing a...boy?

The boy had a unique appearance, featuring a mushroom-shaped hat, a black jacket, and a gray sweatshirt. Their hair is blonde and styled in a messy, unkempt manner. They are standing over me as they curiously look at me

"Oh you're awake that's good." said the boy as he gave me some space

I slowly sat up still feeling a bit dizzy " Where am I?" I asked as I tried to keep myself together

"you're inside my house I found you unconscious in the woods so I took you here I hope you don't mind." The boy said

He gave me a toothy smile from looking at the boy I found his features quite odd maybe even more than odd he had green skin and these mushroom-like horns I wasn't sure how to describe them perfectly but I tried not to stare.

"I was unconscious in the woods." I could hear in my voice that I was panicking a little completely shocked that I somehow became unconscious in the middle of the Woods I was thankful that he found me.

I looked up at the boy "Well thank you for not leaving me there." The boy smiled as he nodded

"Of course, I couldn't just leave you there stranded I had to do something." He said as he sat next to me on the bed he was quite tall even when he was sitting down either that or was just me being short.

It got quiet for a while I looked around my surroundings taking in every single detail inside the house I found out that he likes to knit there were a few blankets and jackets and stuff everything about the house was almost made out of wood which made sense since we were in the cabin in the middle of the Woods.

For some reason, I started to think deeply before realizing that I was in the woods because I was searching for my cat my heart quickened as I realized that I still hadn't found my cat.

Me-"M-MY CAT!"

The boy-"Huh?"

Me-"My cat I completely forgot that I was missing my cat that's the only reason why I was in the woods have you seen her!?"

I asked the boy, not taking a single breast as I rambled on about my cat he was able to hear the pure worry I had in my voice.

The boy-"A cat of yours...I'm sorry I haven't seen one but that's why you were out in the woods by yourself cuz you were looking for a cat? I hope you do realize how far you came into the woods this deep. I'm surprised but do you realize how dangerous that sounds I found you unconscious."

Said the boy sounding a bit worried himself. I started to think he was right I did sound a bit Reckless just going out into the woods and finding my cat I looked to the side and felt my face heat up with a bit of embarrassment.

"I mean I know it sounds pretty stupid of me but it's my cat, I care about her a lot and I will do anything to keep her safe."
I try to stay motivated as I know for a fact that I will find my cat again the boys seemed a bit surprised then he gave me a sweet smile.

The boy- Wow, you must love your cat, huh Don't worry later I can help you find your cat.

My eyes seemed to light up upon hearing his offer I was grateful for it

"I would love that thank you so much you don't know how much this means to me"
I couldn't help but jump around a bit and give him a tight hug.

The boy couldn't help but smile as well returning the hug
