Rin's biological parents abandoned their only child at such a young age. Making her despise her parents for doing so– It was childish of her, but she had every right to. They left her without saying 'goodbye' or had any reason why they left her– They treated her like an object. A thing that can simply be thrown out. Thus, resulting to her hatred towards humankind. While she was at the orphanage, there were some false rumors going around about her. Some said she her parents 'forgotten' her, that's why they left her there. And others, just kept their distance from her. Rin didn't actually acknowledge them, that way no one will ever get in her way of leaving that place.
She decided that, once she was able to, she would leave the orphanage and find a better way of living– Which, led her to her new guardian, or rather, her Sensei– Arima Yuki. He was a martial arts mentor. Rin was only 8 at the time, and had stumbled upon a flyer that contains informations about a martial arts dojo– along with the contact number of the mentor.
Rin surprisingly excelled in academics and in martial arts. This, made an impact in her life as an orphan and an outstanding student of his. He was ever so proud of her achievements. He treated her like his own daughter. (Crying in daddy issues)
"Nice work, kiddo. Keep it up." Arima congratulated her, as he playfully ruffles her head.
Rin bowed as she was grateful for her mentor's praise. "Thank you, Sensei."
Unfortunately for her, all good things must come to and end. And for her case, her mentor, Arima Yuki had been killed Infront of her by an organization called 'The Red Notice'. Arima Yuki, wasn't just some martial arts mentor, he was also a former scientist. He conducted several research among a specific topic– Which led to his career as a 'disgrace to all scientists' and which his research caught the government's attention. "What research?"You ask? It was about an unidentified mysterious 'realm.' Because for Arima Yuki, he believed that everything happens for a reason. And one news report about a mysterious 'portal' was his push to determination. No one really acknowledged his work or cared believing it ever existed. But that wouldn't stop him from reaching his goal. And that all changed one evening. That was when he met Rin. Despite his 'odd theories', she believed and supported him, nonetheless. And now he's leaving. He was leaving without ever witnessing his life's work– The research he's been conducting for 15 years. He was leaving the only thing that gave him happiness and courage. He didn't have much time. Although despite all that, Arima Yuki had a great life. (according to him) He enjoyed those few moments where he became a scientist and met Rin along the way.
