The whole room felt gross and cold compared to the summer house, the colours weren't as welcoming.

"Good morning Rose." a woman's soft voice spoke, not soft like her mother's. "How do you feel?"

"What the fuck is going on." Rose looked around as she groaned and sat up.

The woman gently put her hands on Rose to lay her back down. "You relapsed last night, your brothers took you here."

"Does my mom know?" Rose's voice broke as her breathing quickened.

"She's in the waiting room with everybody, do you want me to get them?" the nurse questioned as Rose let the realization sink in completely.

She shook her head. "Can you just send one person in? So everyone else can leave?"

"I can let your mom in?" the nurse offered kindly as Rose now realized she was cleaning blood off of her arm.

"Can you get Jeremiah?" Rose mumbled as the nurse nodded before standing up and leaving.

When the nurse approached the waiting room everyone's heads shot up. "She wants to see Jeremiah." the nurse asked as the boy stood up quickly.

"She's awake? Is she okay?" Susannah asked as Jeremiah ran to see his sister. Conrad sat angrily on the chair as Belly slept on his shoulder, exhausted after the long night.

"Hey.." Jeremiah was calm, remembering the instructions from the last time his sister was in the hospital.

Rose looked at him like a little kid, desperate for her big brother to scoop her up and save her. "How is Mom?"

"Mom will be okay." Jeremiah expressed as he embraced his sister, starting to breathe heavily before tears came out. "I should've paid more attention."

"It's not your fault I'm a mess." Rose mumbled into his shoulder, releasing a few tears herself. "Is Dad here?"

He hated himself for wanting to lie to his sister, give her a glimpse of hope that Adam cared enough. "Dad got caught up with some work shit."

The ride home had unfathomable tension, Jeremiah sat next to his sister prepared to defend her. "I'll pack your bag and we have an appointment at New Bloom in an hour." Susannah spoke quite coldly to her daughter.

"Mom." Jeremiah plainly spoke as to remind her to show some sympathy.

"Conrad will drive you." Susannah replied as Conrad inhaled deeply. "You're taking the 3 week program and I've already pulled you from the debutante scene."

Rose squeezed Jeremiah's arm. "You aren't taking me?" every rehab trip she'd ever taken, Susannah had been with her up until the last second.

"I don't want to be around you right now, not sure anybody can with the way you're destroying your life." Susannah was never this harsh, neither of the Fisher boys spoke up to defend their sister.

"Okay." Rose replied before turning to look out the window. Having no energy to question her mother's harshness or to bitch at her brothers for not speaking up.

They came into the house and Rose was immediately embraced by Belly, looking past to see Steven who'd clearly been crying. "Sit down with Laurel, I'll go get your things." Susannah explained before going upstairs.

"Come." Laurel led Rose to sit down on the couch. "I was there when you were born, was the first person to hold you then I watched your mother cry at the realization she had a baby girl."

"What's the point of this." Rose was becoming harsh like Susannah to cover up the gutting feeling she had.

Laurel could see past her defence. "That I don't want to be around to see you die."

"Time to leave." Conrad stood in the doorway, watching as Laurel hugged Rose.

"Get her there and call me when you leave." Susannah handed Conrad a bag before retiring to the kitchen, exhausted.

Conrad had his hand on Rose's back as he led her out to the car, closing the door behind her. "She didn't even hug me."

"Rose what the fuck do you expect from her?" Conrad didn't yell but he sounded mad. "You took fucking enough drugs to knockout a horse then went almost got fucking raped!"

"You're an asshole." Rose spat back at him.
"And you're the shittiest brother for taking me to fucking rehab over this!"

Conrad was shaking with anger. "I'm not sitting around watching you kill yourself with drugs everyday for no apparent goddamn reason."

"You're a burnout too, quitting football like a pussy after some girl dumps you." Rose snapped. "Pathetic."

The car ride went quietly until the parking lot, where Conrad had to drag his sister out of the car into the rehab. "I love you." he told her, not wanting to end on a bad note.

"Fuck you." Rose cried as he hugged her tightly, always wanting to protect the little girl he saw her as.

"Please just get better, I can't go through this shit again." Conrad begged before the nurses took Rose back, making her brother sign forms.
