“Where do you want to go?”
“I don’t mind”.
“Is there something wrong?”
“No, nothing”.
“C’mon, you can trust me”.
“Ed, I told you nothing’s wrong. C’mon, let’s go”.
We walked and walked until we got to a Starbucks. We came in and ordered our drinks, then sat on a table next to a window. We didn’t say anything, we just drank our drinks.
“Why did you call me to pick you up?”
“I needed to speak to someone. Zayn was with Emma and Niall went to Glasgow to see Blair”.
“Then why don’t you want to tell me what’s wrong?”
“I don’t know, it’s just….”
“Harry, right?”
“Yes”.
“But what happened now?”
“That he tries to kiss me and I can’t resist him, and then we always fight”.
“And may I ask why you guys aren’t together then?”
“There’s someone else”.
“Who?”
“His name is Derek, he’s a good lad, and I don’t know, he has something…”
“So, you like him”.
“Erm…no”.
“Then, who did you choose in the end?”
“Nobody, yet”.
“And who will you choose?”
“I don’t know, Ed…”
Harry’s POV
Brooke had left me there with Emma and Zayn. She didn’t hang up the phone as I told her. She just said she had to go, and then we argued, as always. I went back to the living room to say goodbye to Zayn.
“Zayn, I’m leaving”.
“Where’s Brooke?”
“She’s gone”.
“Where?”
“No idea”, I said, shrugging my shoulders.
I left Zayn’s house and headed to mine. Louis wouldn’t want to listen to me now either, so I’d have to let it all out by myself. I opened the door and saw Louis in the living room watching some telly. I didn’t say hi to him, I was going to pass through the room.
“Did you let off you steam with Zayn?”, he asked laughing.
“Shut up, idiot”.
He looked at me in a different way. I went to my room and laid on my bed. Living on a prayer. Always the same song. Always the same reason why we didn’t kiss. Her ringtone, her phone. But I was sure of who was the one calling. Derek. I didn’t like him, he’d hurt her, a lot. And I needed to protect her somehow. But what could I do? I didn’t know. Someone knocked on the door, and I saw Louis coming in.
“What’s wrong Harry?”
“Why must there be something wrong?”
“C’mon, I can feel it”.
“It’s nothing, Louis”.
He sat on my bed.
“Everytime you say nothing’s wrong, there’s always something wrong”.
