I sat there, listening to Zero's breathing. it slowed as he fell asleep. I was tired too, but I had something I had to do.
I got up, stepping on some glass, some glass that I broke.
I rummaged through my closet, dinging a short leather jacket, and some black army pants. I cut off the sleeves, then put it on, only zipping it a little bit. Then put on the pants.
When I was finished I sat down at the door, waiting for morning.
When morning finally came, I heard Zero yawn, then a knock on my door.
"Yah." I said.
" Am I allowed in?" Zero asked.
I opened the door. He was wearing a blue hoodie with a black hood, and loose black pants. He waved, then came in. We sat down on the floor.
"You okay?" He asked.
"I guess. You?" I said, picking glass out of my foot.
"Yah. Like your new look."
"Thanks, like yours too."
"Thanks."
Then we heard a meow from outside, we both looked up. Kitty was sitting on the ledge outside my window. Zero got up and let him in.
"Her Kitty." He said.
"Merow."
"I bet your hungry." I said.
"Meow meow."
I got up and went to the kitchen. I got out some cat food, and set it down. Then fixed breakfast. When the pancakes, eggs, and sausage were done, I yelled up the stairs for Zero.
He came down the steps, drying his hair with a towel. He grabbed a plate of food, and sat down at the table.
"Thanks." He said.
"No prob." I said.
Then we started eating. I had time to think now, time to collect my thoughts. Skarlet was gone, we were alone. We had to follow the plan, but the plan seemed so impossible.
