Skinny Minnie

Chapter 17

*Michael*

I layed my head on Minnie's lap as my body heaved big sobs.

Tear after tear poured out of my eyes as I yelled.

"Minnie!  Come back!"  I yelled over and over.

I jerked my head up and looked at her pale face.

"Please..."

*Minnie*

I heard his voice.

I stepped out of my Mother's arms as i looked at her face with regret.

She nodded and gave me a smile filled with love.

"Go to him." she whispered.

I inhaled.

*Michael*

Hand in Hand I looked at my first and last girlfriend.

I heard a very faint beep.  Then another.  Then another.

Then I felt a squeeze.  The beeping was becoming steady again.

I looked down at my hand in amazement.

Did Minnie do that?

"Mikey..."

I lifted my eyes to stare at my sweetheart's face now returning with a bit of color.

"Minns?" I tightened my grip and she gave me a very small smile.

"I love you."

My heart stopped.

*Minnie*

"I love you"

I meant every last word.

That was the first time I had ever said that to him.  He had said it multiple times but I just smiled and nodded.

He understood though.

He always did. "Minnie, I love you so much."  He whispered to me.  I opened my eyes suddenly staring at him.

I heard my Dad's voice join in.  I kept staring at my Michael though.

"Minnie! Oh thank god! Thank you!  Minnie, my daughter, Never again will I leave you."  he broke down crying.

The words were so cheesy but they touched my heart so much I thought back to my life.

How could I put my family and friends through this?

How could I put MYSELF through all of this?

"I'm so sorry." I told them, my voice cracking.

I tried to speak again but my voice was so raspy and it hurt a lot to talk.

A nurse came over.

"Minnie sweetheart please don't talk, you need to rest.  You gave us all quite a scare.  Just close your eyes hon." she told me getting closer.

I nodded and obliged.

But not before I saw my Mom standing by the doorway.

She gave me a very faint smile before fading into the background.

Then I finally closed my eyes preparing for a very big change.

*Michael* 

"How did you come back Minnie?  You were...gone for 3 whole minutes.  I think I almost died with you.  I love you Minnie.  I cannot lose you.  Minnie, I want to grow old with you.  I know you're asleep, you can't even hear me.  But I do love you.  I want to marry you Minnie..."

I dropped my head into my hands and started crying again.

"But you have to stop Minnie.  No one leaves a battle without scars."

~THERE! Are you all happy!?  I'll write more.  When I'm good and ready! lol.  I just need time to plan it out.  I fell asleep for a little bit and I dreamed this.  I was crepped O.o ~
