runaway girl

You are wandering outside on the streets of New York. You just ran away and didn't have anywhere to go. It became dark, so you decided to sleep in an empty alleyway. 15 minutes after you sat down in the alleyway, you hear a car stop, and you hear the doors open and close as a redheaded woman got out. The woman walked up to you and asked why you were sitting there.

Nat's pov:
The Avengers were pissing me off, so I decided to go for a drive. After driving around for 30 minutes , I decided to go back to the compound since it was also getting dark. I was looking around while driving and saw a little kid sitting alone in an alleyway. I stopped the car and got out to talk to the child. When I got to the kid. They were curled up into a ball and sat against the wall, avoiding eye contact. "Hey, sweetheart. What are you doing out here alone?" I asked.

Y/n pov:
The woman came up to me and asked why I was sitting here alone. I hesitated but decided to tell her that I had run away because I wasn't safe at home. She asked if I wanted to come home with her. I reluctantly agreed, and she helped me up. When we got in the car, the woman asked me my name. "Y/n is my name." I said quietly, not sure if I could trust the woman yet. She told me her name was Natasha, but that I could call her Nat. We drove for about 10 minutes before we arrived.

Nat pov:
We arrived at the compound, and I could see Y/n tense up a bit. I hesitated before grabbing their hand and walking in with them. I walked to the kitchen with her to make her some food. When I walked into the kitchen, I saw Tony, Wanda, and Clint talking while drinking coffee together. As I walked in with Y/n, their heads turned towards me. "Who is that?" Tony asks, pointing at Y/n. "This is Y/n. I found her alone in an alley. Can they maybe stay here?" I say to Tony. "Sure. How long will they stay here?" Tony asks. I say that I want to find them a good home before I let Y/n leave. Tony agreed and said that he'll have a room for Y/n in 2 days. I thank him and ask Y/n what they wanted to eat.

Y/n pov:

Nat asked what I wanted to eat, and I hesitated before saying I wasn't hungry. She insisted that I eat something before I went to bed. I just decided on a sandwich. As Nat made my sandwich, Wanda started talking to me. I froze a little because I'm not good with new people. As soon as Wanda noticed, she apologized and left the kitchen. Clint went over to Nat to talk to her. After I had my sandwich, Nat showed me her room and told me I could stay here with her here until Tony had my room ready. I nodded and asked if I could shower. Natasha nodded and gave me a towel and showed me the bathroom.

Nat pov:

After I showed Y/n the bathroom and went to my wardrobe to hand her a pair of pajamas that I hoped weren't too big on her. When Y/n came out of the shower and was changed, they went to lay on my bed. As I was leaving to let them sleep. They asked me if I could stay so they weren't alone. I stayed with them, and surprisingly, they cuddled up to me. After 10 minutes, they were asleep, and I also went to sleep.
