"Bella! Get up! It's 11am and you know I don't let you sleep in any later on the weekend." My mum shouted, waking me up from my glorious sleep.
It's Saturday and she doesn't like me being unproductive because it's a "waste of hours" according to her.
Tonight, me and my boyfriend - of 5 months - Justin are going out, he's taking me on a date somewhere, but he won't tell me where. Annoying, I hate surprises.
My mum and dad are also going on a "date night" so I assume Calum and his girlfriend Lydia will be babysitting Tiara.
I dragged myself out of bed and threw my hair up in a messy bun, nipped to the toilet and brushed my teeth before going downstairs in my pyjamas and sitting at the island in the kitchen.
"Here you go hun." My mum said, placing a plate with pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs in front of me, also handing me a fork and knife.
"Thank you! My favourite," I moaned as I ate a forkful, "can you pour me a glass of coke please?" I asked.
"We're out of coke, how about some of that smoothie you made last night?" She replied.
"Oooh yeah!" I answered as she poured some of the strawberry and lemon smoothie into a glass and slid it over to me.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, who could that be? We never usually have visitors that I don't know about or in the morning to be honest.
"Ah, that'll be the new neighbours!" My mum squealed.
"New neighbours?" I asked.
"Yeah, the Jones family. They've just moved in. Rik and Julie Jones and their son who's the same age as you. I saw them this morning outside by the moving van and told them to come by for a coffee." She explained, making her way to the door and greeting a man and woman, who I assumed were Mr and Mrs Jones.
Calum walked down the stairs and into the kitchen in black sweatpants and no top, his hair a total mess. He clearly didn't know we had company. What could I say? I had no make up on, was clad in pyjama shorts and a vest top with my hair lashed on the top of my head.
"Who are these?" Calum said, a bit abrupt.
"Mr and Mrs Jones, they're our new neighbours!" Mum replied, whilst Rik and Julie shook mine and Calum's hands.
"By the way mum, I can't watch Tiara tonight, me and Lydia are going out." Calum said.
"What do you mean you can't watch Ti tonight? Me and your dad are going out and Bella has been planning this date with her boyfriend for like a week now!" Mum shouted.
"Yeah! I'm not cancelling on Justin! Can't Lydia just come round here?" I asked.
"No! She can't! We're going out! It's kind of important! It's our 8 month anniversary!" Calum exclaimed.
"Well, I guess you can't cancel. Me and your dad will go out another time." Mum said sadly, before Julie spoke.
"Don't cancel, I'm sure Charlie could watch Tiara? He's babysat before and we'd be next door so if anything was up he could text or ring us!" Julie suggested.
"Are you sure?" Mum asked.
"Positive! It'll be good for him, getting used to this place!" Rik laughed before him and Julie sat down on the chairs that were tucked into our dining table.
After around one hour of my parents and the Jones' drinking coffee, they exited our house and went back to their's, I assume.
It was now 12:30pm and Justin was going to be here at 6pm, meaning I was going to be the last person in the house along with Tiara as Calum was leaving at 5pm and my parents were leaving at 4pm, so I had to greet Charlie.
I got in a relaxing bath and dried my hair which took about 2 hours which left me with 3 and a half hours to kill till Justin turned up. Well, it'd take me like an hour to do my hair and make up, and then a further hour to pick an outfit and get dressed, I'm very indecisive. So I had around an hour and a half to kill really, and I done this by watching two episodes of Pretty Little Liars, being briefly interrupted by my mum asking for my opinion on an outfit and Calum asking what flowers girls liked best, I suggested roses, I don't really know about flowers.
After I watched the latest episodes of Pretty Little Liars so I was now up to date, I tried to pick out my outfit. I wanted dressy but casual at the same time. After around 30 minutes, I decided on a chequered black and white crop top with a white collar, a black skirt, black heeled Chelsea boots and black rose cat ears (why not? They're cute).
I sat down on my bed and put on some make up - foundation, mascara, gold eyeshadow, winged eyeliner and dark reddish / purple lipstick - then threw my clothes on. I checked the time on my phone and it was half 5, so I just straightened my hair a little then I was ready.
Grabbing my phone, perfume, keys and a small black bag I bounced down the stairs and sat on the couch with Tiara while she watched something on TV, I don't know? Dora the Explorer? What do little kids even watch these days?
Suddenly, the doorbell rang and I jumped up and practically skipped to the door. Opening the door, my jaw immediately dropped.
"Well fuck."
"What?" The boy, who was quite tall, with brownish hair styled in a quiff, asked, with a slight smirk on his face.
"Uh-nothing," shit, I must have said that out loud, "Charlie right? You here to babysit Tiara?"
"Yep, that's me. That's what my parents told me anyway!" He answered, as I moved to the side and let him into the house.
"Make yourself at home." I said to him, he then took a seat on our couch.
"Thanks, erm, where's Tiara?" He asked.
"She's just upstairs, I'll shout her down now. She's allergic to nuts and eggs, so don't give her any of those, unless you want her to swell up, develop a rash and possible die, which I'm assuming you don't. Her bed time is 9pm, don't let her stay up any later than that. She can watch TV, but no full fat fizzy drinks or anything. That's about it I guess." I rushed out, eager to go on my date, Justin would be here any minute now.
"Got it. Allergic to nuts and eggs, 9pm bed time, TV and no full fat coke!" He confirmed as I shouted Tiara downstairs.
"Tiara, Charlie, Charlie, Tiara." I said, introducing the two.
"Hi." Tiara giggled.
"Hey cutie." Charlie replied as he knelt down to hug her.
"No offence, but why aren't you looking after her? She is your sister after all?" He questioned.
"Just because you say 'no offence' doesn't mean it's not offensive," I laughed, "and it's because I'm going out with my boyfriend and I've been planning this for like two weeks now so.."
"Ah ok." He replied, before being interrupted by the doorbell.
"That'll be Justin now!" I practically squealed and skipped to the door.
"Hi baby." Justin said, kissing me.
"Hey, you ready to go?" I said.
"Yep, whenever you are." He replied as I gathered my bag.
"Have fun." Charlie smirked.
"I will." I replied, sticking my tongue out as I shut the front door and started walking down the path next to Justin.
"Who's that babe?" Justin asked.
"Just Charlie, our next door neighbour and Tiara's babysitter, nobody to worry about." I answered.
But somehow, I knew I was lying. I felt guilty, for no reason. Well, I couldn't get his gorgeous face out of my head, is that reason enough?
