chapter sixA THICK LAYER of dark gray clouds covers the sky, and no patch of blue is visible anywhere. the clouds look so heavy that it seems like any minute they could burst open and rain heavily.
the atmosphere at the end of the school day is a mix of exhaustion and excitement. you've spent hours in class and now you have to navigate your way through the bustling crowds of students and faculty on your way out as you step outside, the air is thick with the smell of rain, and you can hear the first rumblings of thunder in the distance. you can see some students running to their cars or waiting for their ride, eager to leave the school grounds.
as the rain started pouring, you knew that you had to find a shortcut to avoid getting soaked. you quickly made your way down the alleyway, which was usually empty and eerie, but the sun was beginning to set, making the area lighter.
got no choice, better deal with it it!
you started to wonder why you'd choose this route when you could have taken a safer one, but the sound of the pouring rain and the fear of getting soggy clothes had driven you to this decision.
as you quickly made your way down the empty alleyway, you couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was following you. you looked over your shoulder every few steps, and your heart raced with each passing second.
"shit,"
you began to feel terrified, and you reached into your skirt uniform pocket and pulled out a pen. it wasn't much, but it made you feel slightly safer. you held it tightly in your hand as you walked faster, trying to distance yourself from whatever was following you.
suddenly, your brother appeared out of the shadows, causing you to jump and scream. "what the hell? calm down!" he exclaimed, laughing at your reaction.
"i was just playing a joke on you," he added with a grin
you felt embarrassed and relieved at the same time, and you let out a deep sigh, "such a jerk! why are you following me?"
the smile on his face faded as he stepped closer to you, his expression becoming serious.
"don't be scared, okay?" he said, his voice low and reassuring.
"y-yeah?" you nodded, but your heart raced as you felt the tension in the air.
"i saw someone following you,"

the tension in the air is thick. You can feel it in your bones, heavy and oppressive. your mind and body are both tense with anxiety, and the pressure of the moment feels overwhelming.
all you can hear is the sound of your own pounding heart. the steady, rhythmic cadence is the only sound that breaks the silence of the room. your nerves are so on edge that you can barely sit still. your legs are shaking slightly, as if ready to bolt.
you sit on the soft, comfortable couch, feeling the cushion sink gently beneath you. however, the atmosphere is so tense that you can't relax. your eyes dart around the room, searching for any sign of danger or threat. your mind is racing, trying to process what is happening and what could happen next. the uncertainty is making your body shake with fear.
"hmm~"
for half an hour, you sit there, staring down at the floor. you're scared to look up and meet their matching amethyst eyes, which seem to be looking right through your soul. the intensity of their stare is so intimidating and scary, and you've never met anyone with such intimidating eyes before.
