Chapter 2

Nico pov

What I have learned about sharing my cabin again/having a younger sister so close to me

-she's very organized, I'm not

-she love bright colors, I don't

-she love animals, I only like Mrs. Leary

-girls use a lot of space.

-she gets nightmares and has to sleep in my bunk sometimes.

-she loves flowers, especially roses

-she likes pop music, especially Taylor Swift

See, very different from me. She gets along with the Apollo cabin the most. So I take her to the infirmary with me in the mornings. She mostly sings show tunes with Kayla and Will as they work.

Today was different. Because today was the day Percy was supposed to show up. He was supposed to come back and help out here. But he wasn't back. Typical Jackson. Late because he got held up or whatever. But I can't complain. Us Demigods are constantly late. You can blame the Adhd. Most of us are victims of time blindness. (Me too Nico, me too)

Annabeth was definitely stressed. Last time Percy wasn't here he was missing for 8 months, then we had to fight a war. So yeah, I get why she might be a little nervous.

Will was freaking out, being Percy's literal doctor and all. I grabbed one of Will's sweatshirts I had taken from him and headed to the infirmary. Ciara was already there when I opened the door. She was laying on one of the beds, reading a book. She looked up.

"Nico!" She exclaimed. She tossed her book down and ran to hug me.

She wrapped her arms around my waist. I hugged her back lightly. She let go and rushed away to get back to her book. Kayla gawked at me. "Wow."

I looked at her, confused. "What?"

"Nico Di Angelo, WILLINGLY hugging someone, other than his boyfriend or Hazel?!" She laughed.

I rolled my eyes and sat next to Will on the couch. I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes.

"Wow Neeks, tired much?" Will smirked.

"It's only nine, too early for any NORMAL teenager to be up." I sighed, curling up into Will.

"Well we aren't normal teenagers, are we?" He said, kissing my forehead.

He stood up and walked to the computers.

"Watcha doing?" Kayla asked him.

"Trying to track Percy, the Hecate kids put a charm on Riptide so we can find him if Hera try's to play some games again." Will said.

Ciara looked up. "What games, like Monopoly?"

Kayla laughed. "No, she took away one of our friends' memories and sent him across the country."

"She doesn't seem very nice." Ciara frowned.

"No, no she is not." I said.

"What are the other gods like?" Ciara closed her book and sat up.

"Well, Hades is pretty nice, but kinda-" Will started.

"Extra," I finished. "Very extra."

"How so?" She asked.

"Well, he gave me a chauffeur."

"Oh that's not too bad I guess."

"His name is Jules-Albert and he's a French Zombie man who wears a top hat." Will laughed.

"Oh, what about Apollo?" Ciara said.

Kayla and Will shared a look and burst out laughing. I smiled.

"Apollo likes to meddle in things he's not a part of." I said.

"How so?" Ciara asked.

"When me and Nico were fighting he kidnapped Nico from his cabin and brought him here and forced us to talk." Will said.

"He also tried to get me a date with a girl at Camp Jupiter." Kayla laughed.

"Did it work?" Ciara asked.

"Sure, if her girlfriend wasn't there." Kayla shook her head.

"Oh..." Ciara whispered.

"Most of the gods are just full of themselves and boring." Chimed a voice from the door.

I looked over. Percy stood there, leaning against the door frame, Annabeth clinging to his arm.

"Perc!" Kayla jumped up to say hello. Will stood up and side hugged Percy.

Percy nodded at me.

"Di Angelo."

I nodded back.

"Jackson."

"Jeez it's like you don't even know each other!" Annabeth giggled.

"Do they not?" Ciara asked.

"Who's the kid?" Percy asked.

She marched right up to him and stuck her hand out. "I'm Ciara Roberts, the new camper."

Percy laughed and shook her hand. "I'm Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, do you know who your godly parent is yet?"

"Yup! Hades!" She replied happily.

"What?" He asked.

"Hades." She said again.

"Like death Hades? Nico's dad?"

"Yup that makes me Nico's sister!"

"Wait, Nico, Nico? Short black haired emo kid? The one sitting right there?" Percy pointed at me.

"Hey!" I yelled.

"It's true," Annabeth laughed, sitting on the bed across from me. "We all saw her get claimed.

Percy laughed and shook his head. "Wow, Hades really broke the rules!"

"What rules?" Ciara.

"The big three, Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon weren't supposed to have kids, but all of them broke the rule." Annabeth laughed.

"Why'd they break it?" Ciara tilted her head in confusion.

"Cause the gods can't keep it in-"

"Perc! She's 11!" Annabeth scolded.

Kayla grabbed a rolled up piece of paper and smacked Percy over the head.

Will and I laughed.

Ciara looked around confused. "What?"

"Nothing." Percy said.

"Anyway," Annabeth started. She grabbed Percy's hand.

"We gotta go, Nico and Will, you're wanted by Chiron. Kay, watch the kid?"

Kayla nodded, and the rest of us left.
