Daughter of Hades

Chapter 3

This one is rly short, but I feel rly bad for not updating so I like rushed this one. This could  be a little weird, and kinda bad. But I just needed to publish smth. So sry for all that.

Nico POV

Chiron stood in the Mess Hall, arms crossed and scowling, an expression he rarely wore. Will and I exchanged a look.

"Can you explain to me why the Apollo kids are saying you two spent the night in the Hades cabin?" Chiron asked.

Will smirked. "Ain't the rule 'no boys and girls can be left alone in the same cabin'?"

Chiron furrowed his brow. "We gotta change that rule." He muttered.

"It's not like we could do anything, Ciara was there, we just watched a movie." I said.

Chiron rolled his eyes.

"Nico, no sitting at the Apollo table anymore. And Will, no sneaking into the Hades cabin through the bathroom window anymore."

Will's jaw dropped.

"The nymphs talk." Chiron said, He turned around in his wheelchair, and wheeled away.

Will turned to look at me. "We aren't gonna listen to him right?"

"Oh hell no." I said.

We ran to meet everyone else at dinner. When Percy was here, Me, Will, Annabeth, Percy, Piper, and Leo sat at the Poseidon table, which pissed Chiron off even more. Ciara joined us tonight, which intrigued Piper a lot.

"So... you're a child of Hades?" She asked, stabbing her salad with her fork, which seemed a little aggressive.

Ciara nodded. " Why are people so shocked when I say that?"

"You don't really... look like...death..or like...emo like Nico... does." Leo said, in between bites.

I whacked him with my napkin. He grabbed it from me and set it on fire. Percy rolled his eyes and manipulated the water in his cup to put it out.

Leo looked at Percy disapprovingly. "Why must you ruin my fun?"

"I don't want anyone getting set on fire today, it's only Ciara's first week, she doesn't need to see that yet."

"Yet!?"

Percy took one look at Ciara's terrified expression, and fell out of his seat laughing. He grabbed Annabeth's arm for support, but she ended up falling too. Piper laughed and got up to help them.

Annabeth took her hand and pulled her down with them. "That's what you get for laughing!"

Leo was cackling like a witch and fell right on top of Percy.

"Get off!" Percy shoved Leo and he rolled down the hill into a tree.

"Ow!" Leo got up and dusted himself off.

During all of this Will had tried to help Annabeth up, but ended up falling down too.

"Idiots." I muttered.

"Oh what was that Di Angelo?" Leo asked, smiling.

"Idiots." I said louder.

I saw Piper give a thumbs up and next thing I know, I'm lying on the grass, right next to Will.

"Hey!" I yelled.

Ciara smirked at me then jumped right into us.

"Ow hey rude!" I yelled, pushing her over.

Leo had made his way back to us and helped us all up for real.

I grabbed his hand and dusted myself off. The group of us cleaned our plates and went over to the fire pit.

Austin was holding a guitar, and Kayla was sitting next to him.

"Oh great, a song!" I whispered to Will sarcastically.

"Can't you be nice for once?" He asked, putting his arm around me.

"Fuck no." I rested my head on his shoulder.

He played with my hair, which I only allowed today cause I was too tired to care. Ciara sat on the grass between us and leaned her head back against the bench. I squeezed her shoulder affectionately and she gave me a smile.

As terrible as this song was, it was like...kinda nice sitting here. I looked around and saw Annabeth, wearing Percy's leather jacket. Piper and Shel were giggling in the corner. And Leo was flirting with some kid from the Aphrodite cabin.
