My class stares at me, some cough, others mutter to themselves.
"The assignment was about dreams... right...?" I ask, looking at the teacher.
"Yes, and an idol? That's... that's not a good dream." A boy in my class replies bluntly.
"I know, I've researched it all, but..."

"But?"
I want to make people smile. I want them to laugh and be excited for me to perform.
"I don't know, it's a stupid dream, like you said." I reply.
It's not stupid. I feel like I should be an idol."Being an idol is a wonderful dream!" My teacher replies, "Everyone give Gwen a hand, please!"
The class claps, I know they don't care. It's okay, though!{...}
"Ugh, I need to rest my voice, thanks for signing me up for vocal classes, though!" I smile at my mom, and my mom smiles back.
"You know, it's been a few weeks, you're doing really well! Your class won't judge you anymore! Take that, Mrs. Shellington! Or Ms. Shellington, when I tell your husband about how you cheated on him wi-"
"Okay, mom!" I laugh, she's very defensive of me, but...{...}
"Please, everyone, welcome 'The Storming Star, Gwen!' To the stage!"
Everyone claps for me... my dream... it's come true.
My first show, ever. I've tried so hard to get this far and...
"Okay, everyone!"My ending hasn't come yet, but... I'm proud of myself. I'm proud I got this far. So, I'll continue singing, and continue putting smiles on everyone's faces!
