Sirena-
I woke in my room to the sound of my mom banging on my door
''Wake up, you little brat. You'll be late for school.'' I heard her walk away and I got up and got dressed

After getting ready, I walked out of my room and downstairs. My mom was waiting for me. In front of her was a black box
''What's in the box?'' I asked, slowly walking into the kitchen
''You'll just have to wait until you get home.'' My mom responded. Not pressing the issue, I went to the fridge and looked for breakfast. I settled for a small bottle of animal blood. My mom, being the siren she was, didn't understand why I didn't drink human blood like my vampire dad did. I tried telling her that I didn't want to start drinking human blood until I was a bit older. I didn't trust myself right. She wouldn't have it. I closed the refrigerator door and turned to walk out of the kitchen. ''I want you straight here after school. Do you hear me? If not, I will unleash a world of Hell. Am I in any way unclear, young lady?''
''No, ma'am. I'll come straight home, I promise.'' Leaving it at that, I walked out of the house. I walked away from the house and to the corner where my friends were waiting for the bus. ''Hi, guys.'' I said.
''Hey, Sirena. How was your weekend?''
''Okay, I guess. How about you, Jen?''
''Pretty good.''
''Happy birthday, by the way.''
''Thanks, Amara.'' We stood there for a while waiting for the bus. 10 minutes later, the bus arrived and we climbed on. We took our seats in the back, and it was off to school we went
