Overpopulation

Part 2

(Luna POV)

I was at one of my most favorite places, Aroma Mocha Cafe. It's one of the only places that didn't change due to the overpopulation and life lengthening pills. It's also run by one of my closest friends, and it's fairly priced too. I've been here for over an hour already, I should go.

I stand up, leaving a tip, and walk out of the cafe. I walk down the overcrowded street, squishing my way through to the hoverway. There have been many new advances in technology, but the biggest came in the medical age. Everyone trying to cure death? Well, you got it! Sort of. That new invention is what caused this whole issue. The streets are constantly filled with people, and the whole world is overpopulated now that barely anyone is dying and people are still being born every minute. Why do they only care about money? They should worry about the population!

I walk onto the ramp of the hoverstation, waiting for the doors to open. When they do I board on with another couple dozen people. The doors close and we start moving. My phone dings, vibrating in my pocket. I pulled it out seeing the message I was waiting for. Looks like it's time to go.

I walk into the driveway, walking to the back of the house. I got a message from Dr. Victoria, saying she is beginning everything today. I enter the backyard, walking to a shed in the back.

I open the wooden door and walk in, "Doctor? Are you here? I got the message!"

"Downstairs! Come down here!" a familiar woman's voice yelled. I started my descent down a flight of stairs, being greeted by a dark hallway ending with a familiar metal door. I open the door, getting blinded by a bright light. Once my eyes recover, I look up to see a small group of people, including the Doctor and a few familiar faces. Looks like she was serious when she meant immediately.
