"My name's T-toby! don't worry, i'm not gonna hurt ya, just let me-"

"NO! Stay away! go away! i'm just fine and i don't want you handing me over."

Clockwork glared at Toby, lips curved into a sneer. She held her knife out in front of her still, fighting to stay awake. She'd lost a lot of blood, and her world was spinning and darkening with each passing second. Still, she stubbornly refused this strange man's help, pride getting the best of her.

"Please, you're bleeding out! Please let me help you!" Toby tried pleading with her, noticing how distant the girl's movements were becoming. she looked about to pass out.

She snarled, "Over my.....d..dead bo....d.......y..."

She coughed roughly, suddenly very tired. The pain seemed to go numb and sleep more and more inviting. Her single eye fell closed.

"F-fin-finally!"

Toby rushed forward as soon as the girl's knife arm fell, kneeling down to examine the wound. if the blood wasn't stopped up soon, chances were high she'd bleed out and die. and from what she made of the police and Toby's own criminal status, the hospital was out of the question.

Thinking quickly, Toby threw off the straps on his chest holding his hatchets, and quickly pulled his black shirt off. using his sharpest hatchet, he cut his shirt up into strips, then started to tie them tightly around the girl's wound as makeshift bandages. He wasn't an expert, but he knew from experience how to patch himself up after an accident. Course he never knew if he was doing it right, but hey, he was still alive wasn't he?

When he finished bandaging the leg the best he could, he was about to pick her up when a voice behind him, (or behind him in his head?) spoke, causing him to jump like he was in trouble. which he nearly always was.

"Toby, child, what are you doing?"

Toby's master and boss, Slenderman, was standing right behind him, probably because he could sense whatever happened in his forest. whether someone entered, left, or died, he was always watching.

"o-oh! i.. sh-she was hurt so i thought i'd-"

"Do you even know who that is?" Slenderman questioned his proxy, contempt entering his voice as his eyeless gaze fell upon the helpless young woman.

"i-i.. well, no, but i thought-" Again he was cut off.

"The woman there is Clockwork. Insane, dangerous, and an enemy to me. you will cease helping her, child. "

Slenderman folded his thin arms around his narrow chest when he looked down at them, expecting Toby to obey without question like he usually did. However, Toby surprised him.

"What? Why?? you can't just let her die here! What'd she even do to make you not like her??" Toby turned around to look up at his Master, a hint of defiance in his dim, brown eyes. It looked as if he were developing cataracts.

"Because she attacked me. She injured me more than i had been since i met the psycho known as Jeff. She was lucky i let her keep her life that time. She's near death now so i won't bother finishing her off. Just leave her be Toby. She's no good for you anyways. I don't need some crazy trying to corrupt my proxies."
