Pete was born in a city. Even at the age of 6 she was too smart. A school teacher suggested that they should do her IQ test. Later, they found out she was a gifted child. She was a mature child, but was always stubborn for her own being. Her parents were too caring. She always got whatever she asked them. Everything was going fine, till the time her parents realized that Pete needed a sibling. She was getting spoiled a little too much. When her mom was 6 months pregnant, she wanted to meet her father who lived in the countryside. Her mom and Pete's grandfather never had a good relationship, but it was her grandmother's death anniversary so they went there together. All of a sudden, sitting in a dinner table, her mother started having severe contractions. Her father and mother went to the hospital leaving her with her grandfather. Pete was panicking, she doesn't like strangers but her parents' kissed her Goodbye, promising they may come back with her brother.

Pete trusted their words. But they were never meant to be true. Her parents' never came back, their bodies did. Pete was left alone at a stranger's house.

Panicked Pete opened her eyes, she was in a strange room again but this time she was not alone. Vegas was beside her. She saw his sleeping face. It looked peaceful, too pure for this world. She never intended such a thing to happen. She never even intended to even meet Vegas. He was her fantasy, her dream, which she gave up a long time back when she realized that he's not that into girls. But it was a lie. Wasn't it? Because if it was true, there was no way this would have been real.

That means she has a chance. She still has a chance. The comfort she find beside Pete was like sleeping between her Parents'. She can't let him go now.

Then there was some movement beside her. Slowly Vegas opened his eyes and the first question he asked was something Pete never expected. 'Hey, you are still here?'

Pete was bewildered. Where was she supposed to go? 'Ahm. Yes.'

'I thought you'll leave the moment you open your eyes.' What was that supposed to mean?

'Does it work like that?'

'One night stands? Yes. Whoever wakes up first leaves first usually. Oh but you are too young for that I guess. It was your first time. Lucky me.' Vegas smiled while wearing his trousers. 'Aren't you getting dressed? Should I increase the stay for the room, you wanna sleep some more?'

Pete all of a sudden got conscious by her nakedness. She pulled the blanket some more over her shoulders. 'No, no it's fine.'

'Are you getting shy now?' Vegas laughed so beautifully that Pete could have surrendered then and there.

'No. I mean. Can you go in the washroom for a minute? I'll change real quick.'

'Don't worry. Take your time. I am leaving anyway.' Pete could not let Vegas leave yet. This was the opportunity the universe was giving her. She can't let it go. So she made the first move now. Well if he is into girls, why not her.

'Vegas,Can we have coffee, at least.'

'Fine. I'll wait outside the hotel. See you soon.'

Vegas was a bit hesitant about it. Yes, Pete was pretty but too soft and sensitive for his likings. This is the reason why he likes guys over girls. Also, he had some history for his decision to not date woman. He will never settle with one. He was pansexual, he realised it when he was 16. He doesn't care about gender. He can like anyone. But most of the time girls were all over him and in 4 years of college he only dated guys. Dating girls was a headache to him. Alot of people spread rumours about him that he is gay. But as long as he is the one to give, anyone was fine for him. And this was the reason that Pete never thought that he could be the one for him. But the previous night, everything changed. He can get Vegas all for herself. She had a chance and she'll not let it go.
